If you need to take a break from apple watch you can unpair it from your iPhone. Here’s how to do it.

Open watch app on your iPhone.
On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
Tap the watch tab then tap your watch at the top of the screen.
Tap General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings.
For GPS models, choose to keep or remove your LTE plan. If you keep your plan, you can still use emergency SOS and fall detection.
Tap Erase All, then enter apple id password to confirm.
If you turned on Find My iPhone on apple watch you need to turn it off before you can erase it.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab. Tap your watch at the top of the screen, then tap Find My iPhone. Turn off Find My iPhone.
Tap the My Watch tab.
In the My Watch tab, scroll down to the bottom and tap the red Disconnect button.

If you have an Apple Watch and want to unpair it from your iPhone, follow these steps. Keep in mind that unpairing will back up your Apple Watch so you can restore it after you pair with a new iPhone.
1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Unpair Apple Watch.
3. Tap Unpair [your model] to confirm.
4. If asked, enter apple id password to disable Activation Lock and prevent anyone else from using your watch.
For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan. If you want to keep your plan, tap Keep Plan.
If you have an Apple Watch GPS + Cellular model, you can choose to keep or remove your cellular plan. If you want to keep your plan, tap Keep Plan.
If you turn off Activate on your iPhone or if you cancel your cellular plan, your Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) will no longer be able to make or receive calls, send or receive messages, or use certain other features that require a cellular connection.
Enter your iPhone passcode, then tap Unpair.
If you have an Apple Watch and you got a new iPhone, unpair your Apple Watch from your previous iPhone before you set up your new device. Unpairing automatically backs up your Apple Watch so you can restore it after you pair with a new iPhone.
1. On your previous iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen.
3. Tap the info button , then tap Unpair Apple Watch.
4. Enter your iPhone passcode, then tap Unpair.
