On an iPhone with iOS 12 or earlier
CarPlay is automatically enabled if you connect your iPhone to your car using a USB cable. If you want to prevent CarPlay from launching when you connect your device, follow these steps:
1. Go to Settings > General > CarPlay, then tap Available cars or My Cars.
2. Tap next to a car stereo to turn CarPlay off.

How to delete an app from Apple Carplay
Apple carplay is a platform that allows you to control various functions of your iPhone via a touch screen interface in your car. While this is a great feature, you may want to delete an app from Apple Carplay if you no longer use it or if it is taking up too much space. Here’s how you can disable Apple Carplay.
On an iPhone with iOS 14 or later
With iOS 14, you can delete built-in Apple apps from your iPhone, and touch and hold to rearrange the apps on your Home screen. To delete an app that you downloaded and no longer use, see the Apple Support article Delete an app.
On your iPhone, touch and hold the app. Tap Delete. Press the Home button to finish.
On an iPhone with iOS 13
Open settings app Tap General, then tap CarPlay.Tap the Delete button next to the CarPlay profile for the car you want to remove.
On an iPhone with iOS 12 or earlier
On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > CarPlay. Tap your car’s name. If you can’t find your car, make sure that CarPlay is turned on in Settings > General > Restrictions.
Tap Delete Car. If you have an iOS 11 or earlier version, go to Settings > General > Restrictions and delete your car.
How to customize your Carplay settings

On an iPhone with iOS 13
Go to Settings > General > CarPlay > Customize.
Tap a section to customize CarPlay with your apps. For example, you can add and arrange apps in the order that you want them, turn Do Not Disturb While Driving on or off, or choose to have Siri read incoming messages aloud when they’re delivered.
When you’re finished customizing CarPlay, tap Done.
On an iPhone with iOS 12 or earlier
Tap Settings > General > CarPlay.
From here, you can do the following:
-Turn CarPlay off: Tap the switch next to CarPlay. If you have an iPhone with iOS 11 or earlier, the switch will be next to Allow CarPlay While Locked.
-Choose which apps to use with CarPlay: Scroll down to see the apps on your iPhone that work with Carplay, then tap each one to turn it on or off. For example, if you don’t want to use Siri with CarPlay, turn off Siri. On an iPhone with iOS 11 or earlier, you might need to tap each app, then turn off Allow Carplay While Locked for that app.
-Rearrange the order of your apps: Press and hold an app, then drag it to a new position.
