How to Delete an App on Apple TV

If you have apple tv and you want to delete an app that you no longer use, follow the steps in this blog post.

Open the App Store.

On apple tv 4K apple tv hd open the App Store. On older models, open the Purchased tab.

Find the app you want to delete, then swipe left on it and select Delete. Or, highlight the app and press and hold the Touch surface of your remote until the menu opens.

Some apps are accompanied by configuration files. If you see a Delete button next to the app in this list, select it, then select Delete again to confirm.

To delete an app, highlight the app on home screen and press and hold the Touch surface of the Siri Remote.

A menu appears.

Choose Delete.

Press and hold the Touch surface until the app jiggles.

Tap the Delete button.

Open the App Store app, then tap Today at the bottom of the screen.
Tap or your photo in the upper-right corner, then tap Purchased. If use family sharing and you see Family Purchases instead of Purchased, tap it.
Tap “Not on This Apple TV.” If you don’t see “Not on This Apple TV,” it means that all of your purchased apps are already on your Apple TV.
Find the app that you want to delete, then swipe left on it and tap Delete. Or, press and hold an app until all the icons begin to jiggle, then press the Touch Surface to delete the app.
