Go to home screen
Open the app you want to delete. Press and hold the Touch surface or Select button, then tap Delete. Or, from the Home screen, highlight the app you want to delete. Swipe across it from right to left, then tap Delete.
Select settings app
From your Apple TV’s home screen, hold down the select button on the Siri remote. After a few seconds, the interface will enter jiggly mode. All of the apps on your home screen will now have an X in their upper left-hand corner.
Scroll down and select General.
From here, scroll down and select General. If you want to delete an app that you purchased from the App Store, skip to step 4.
On the next screen, scroll down until you see the Settings header. Under this header, select Applications.
On the Applications screen, scroll down until you see the App Management header. Under this header, select the app that you want to delete.
Once you’ve selected the app, a new screen will appear with multiple options for that app. To delete the app, select Delete App.
Scroll down and select Restrictions.
If you need to delete an app that you purchased from the App Store on your Apple TV, follow the steps below. Note that this will not delete any of your data or settings associated with the app; it will only remove the app itself.
1. From the main menu, scroll down and select Settings.
2. Scroll down and select Restrictions.
3. Enter your Restrictions passcode (if you’ve set one up).
4. Scroll down and select the app that you want to delete under the Allow section.
5. Select Delete Restricted App.
6. Press the Menu button on your remote and select Restart Apple TV to restart your device and complete the process.

If you turned on Restrictions, might need to enter your passcode to delete the app.
1. Press and hold the Touch surface of the Siri Remote.
2. When the app jiggles, tap Delete. If you don’t see the delete option, it might mean that you can’t delete the app.
3. To stop the app from wiggling, press and hold the Touch surface again or press the Menu button.

Deleting an app on your Apple TV is just like deleting any other app on your iDevice. Here’s how:
1. Press and hold the Touch surface of the Siri Remote to display the App Expose view. If you have a lot of apps installed, you may need to scroll left or right find the one you want to delete.

3. Once the app icon begins wiggling, press and hold the Touch surface of the Siri Remote until a pop-up menu appears.
4. Choose Delete from the pop-up menu. If you don’t see Delete, it’s likely because the app is a built-in tvOS app that can’t be deleted, such as Settings, App Store, or Photos.
5. A Delete App confirmation message will appear; select Yes to confirm that you want to delete the selected app from your Apple TV
Select Delete.
When you delete an app, you don’t automatically cancel any in-app subscriptions that you might have subscribed to.
To delete an app:
1. Select Delete. A confirmation message appears.
2. Select Delete again to confirm.
