Verify your email address
Verifying your email address is an important step in the Apple ID creation process. When you create an Apple ID, Apple will send a verification email to the address you provide. This email will contain a link that you must click to verify your email address and activate your account.
If you don’t receive the verification email, there are a few things you can try:
– Check your spam or junk mail folder. If you see the Verification Failed error when trying to sign in with your Apple ID, it might mean that you have an unfinished business transaction that needs to be completed. For example, if you started creating an Apple ID but didn’t finish, you might see this error when you try to sign in. To finish creating your Apple ID, open the verification email and click the Verify Now link.
– Check with your email service provider to make sure that they aren’t blocking mail from Apple (icloud.com, me.com, or mac.com).
– Ask your family members or friends if they have an iOS device or Mac that they can use to sign in with your Apple ID and send yourself a verification email. To do this, go to Settings > [your name]. If asked for a password, enter the password for your Apple ID. Tap Send Verification Email underEMAIL ADDRESSES & SECURITY > Password & Security > Get Started > Verify YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.
