Make sure that your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is on the same Wi-Fi network as apple tv or AirPort Express station.
Tap AirPlay. If you don’t see AirPlay, make sure that your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPort Express station.
Tap the name of the device that you want to stream content to.
If you see more than one device, choose the one that you want to use.

If you can’t connect to an AirPlay device, try these steps:
Make sure that your AirPlay-compatible device is near the device that you’re trying to stream from.
Check for interference. Some devices might cause interference with your AirPlay connection. If you suspect that this is happening, check for other devices that might be using the same frequency band as your AirPlay-compatible device.
Make sure that both devices are on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Swipe up from the bottom edge of your screen to open Control Center. Tap , then tap another iOS device, or tap Apple TV. If you can’t connect to a Wi-Fi network on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, try connecting to another Wi-Fi network. If you still can’t connect, follow these steps:

3.Make sure that your router is connected to the Internet and that you have the latest firmware.

If you can’t connect to a Wi-Fi network on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, make sure that your Wi-Fi router is turned on. If you’re using more than one Wi-Fi router to create a mesh network, make sure that each router is connected to the same network.
You might also be able to fix your connection by restarting your devices:
– Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

– If you’re using an Ethernet cable for the connection between your computer and Apple TV (4K or 4th generation), make sure that the cable is plugged into the Ethernet port on the back of your television and not into the Ethernet port on Apple TV.

If you have an iOS device, AirPlay restrictions might be turned on. To check, go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Allowed Apps. Make sure that AirPlay isn’t restricted.
