How to Connect Your Apple Pencil to Your iPad

If you’ve got apple pencil and an iPad, you might be wondering how to connect the two so you start using your Pencil with apps. Here’s a quick guide on how to do just that.

Open settings app on your iPad.

Tap Bluetooth.

Tap bluetooth button next to your Apple Pencil.

If you don’t see your Apple Pencil, make sure that it’s charged and that you’re using it with an iPad that supports Apple Pencil.

Tap Bluetooth.

Tap Bluetooth.

If you don’t see “Bluetooth,” tap the Navigation Menu button in the top-right corner of the screen. Then, tap Bluetooth.

Tap the name of your Apple Pencil in the Devices list.

Tap the Bluetooth button next to your Apple Pencil.

Make sure that your Apple Pencil is turned on. To do this, unscrew the cap on the back of your Pencil, then screw it back on until you hear a click. If the LED lights up, your Pencil is turned on.

Next, open settings app on your iPad, then tap Bluetooth and make sure that it’s turned on.

Finally, tap the Bluetooth button next to your Apple Pencil. If it doesn’t appear, restart your iPad and try again.

Tap the Done button.

You can connect your Apple Pencil to your iPad in two different ways. The first is by tapping the Done button, which is located on the side of your iPad, and the second is by connecting it directly to your iPad’s Lightning connector.

To connect your Apple Pencil to your iPad using the Done button:
1. Make sure that your Apple Pencil is turned on by twisting the tip.
2. Tap the Done button on your iPad.
3. When prompted, tap Continue on your iPhone or iPad to trust this computer.
4. Your Apple Pencil will now be connected to your iPad!

To connect your Apple Pencil directly to your iPad’s Lightning connector:
1. Make sure that your Apple Pencil is turned on by twisting the tip.
2. Plug the Lightning end of your Apple Pencil into the Lightning connector on your iPad.
3. When prompted, tap Continue on your iPhone or iPad to trust this computer.
4. Your Apple Pencil will now be connected to your iPad!
