How to Connect Your Apple Watch to Your iPad

Open watch app on your iPhone.

Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen.

Tap General > Handoff.

Turn on Allow Handoff.

To turn Handoff on or off from apple watch open the Settings app, then tap General > Handoff.

Tap the My Watch tab.

If you have an Apple Watch and an iPad, you can connect them so you can do things like:

– Use the Apple Watch app on your iPad to set up your watch.
– Keep your watch and iPad close together to share Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection information.
– View notifications on your iPad that you get on your watch.

1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPad.

3. Follow the instructions on your iPad and watch.

At the top of the screen, tap your watch. You might need to enter a passcode.

Tap “Default” under “Watch Face.” If you don’t see “Default,” tap Add watch face, then tap Default.

– To add a new complication, tap Add Complication, then choose a complication.

– To rearrange complications, touch and hold a complication, then drag it to a different position.

– To delete a complication from your watch face, touch and hold the complication, then tap Delete.

Tap Pair New Watch.

1. Make sure that your Apple Watch and your iPhone are up to date.
2. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, then tap the My Watch tab.

Put your watch on your wrist.

1. Make sure that your watch is powered on and that you’re wearing it.
2. If you’re setting up your watch for the first time, wait for the Welcome screen to appear. Otherwise, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

Center the watch face under the viewfinder in the iPhone’s camera.

With your Apple Watch on its side and the Digital Crown pointing up, hold your iPhone over your watch so that the watch’s face is centered under the viewfinder in the iPhone’s camera.

When you see a message that says “Tap Continue on your iPhone,” tap Continue.

If you’re setting up your first Apple Watch, you’ll need to pair it with your iPhone first. Once you’ve done that, you can set it up to work with your iPad. Here’s how:

1. Make sure that your iPhone and iPad are running the latest version of iOS.

2. Set up your Apple Watch on your iPhone.

3. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.

On your iPad, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center, then tap the Airplane Mode icon to turn off Airplane Mode.* If you don’t see an Airplane Mode icon, swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Control Center, then touch and hold the connectivity icons in the upper-left corner of Control Center to see more options.* Make sure that Bluetooth is also turned on.*

7. Hold your iPhone next to your iPad, then wait for a message that says “Tap Continue on your iPad.” Tap Continue, then follow the instructions that appear on both devices.

Wait for the animation to finish on your iPhone and Apple Watch.

On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.

Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen.

Tap Pair New Watch.

Wait for the animation to finish on your iPhone and Apple Watch.

Swipe up on the watch face to see your apps.

On your Apple Watch, swipe up from the bottom of the watch face to open Control Center, then tap .

If you don’t see , swipe left, then tap .

Tap the iPad that you want to connect to. If you don’t see it, make sure that both devices are in range of each other and that Bluetooth is turned on both devices.
