How to Connect Your Apple Remote to Apple TV

Open settings app on your ‌Apple TV‌.

Go to Remotes and Devices > Remote App and Devices. Select your ‌Apple TV‌ apple tv 4K from the list. If you don’t see your ‌Apple TV‌, make sure that it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iOS device or Mac. If you still don’t see your ‌Apple TV‌, it might need to be updated.

If you’re asked for a PIN, enter the four-digit code that appears on your ‌Apple TV‌.

On your ‌iPhone‌, iPad, ipod touch open the Control Center, then select the Bluetooth icon.

On your ‌iPhone‌, iPad, or iPod touch, open the Control Center, then select the Bluetooth icon.
-If your remote isn’t connected to your iOS device, choose it from the list.
-If you don’t see your remote in the list, make sure that your remote is charged and that Bluetooth is turned on on your iOS device. You can also try turning Bluetooth off and on again.

Select your ‌Apple TV‌ when it appears in the Devices list.

On your Apple TV, go to Settings > Remotes and Devices > Remote App and Devices.

Enter the four-digit code that appears on your ‌Apple TV‌.

To connect your ‌Apple TV‌ to your ‌iPhone‌, ‌iPad‌, or ‌iPod touch‌, follow these steps:

Open the Apple TV Remote app.
Point your remote at your ‌Apple TV‌ and enter the four-digit code that appears on your ‌Apple TV‌ screen.
If you don’t see a four-digit code, make sure that your ‌Apple TV‌ is turned on.
If you still don’t see a code, try these steps:
Restart your ‌Apple TV‌ and your iOS device.
Make sure that you’re in range of your ‌Apple TV‌ and there’s nothing obstructing it or the front of your iOS device.
Change the batteries in your remote. You should see a battery level indicator on the Home screen of your Apple TV Remote app.
