Have you recently purchased an Apple Pencil? In this blog post, we’ll show you how to connect apple pencil to your iPad.

Open settings app on your iPad.
Tap Bluetooth.
Put your Apple Pencil on the charging adapter, then plug the adapter into your iPad. Wait for a few seconds, then tap the Apple Pencil icon that appears in the list of devices in Bluetooth settings.
Tap Bluetooth.
On your iPad, tap Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Bluetooth switch to turn it on. If the Bluetooth icon is grayed out, or if you see a spinner next to the Bluetooth switch, wait for a moment and try again.
With your Apple Pencil turned on, hold it close to your iPad. After a few seconds, a dialog appears on your iPad asking if you want to connect your Apple Pencil. Tap Connect.
If you can’t connect your Apple Pencil or you see an error message, make sure that Bluetooth is turned on both on your iPad and your Apple Pencil, then try again.
Open settings app on your iPad, then tap Bluetooth. Tap the Bluetooth button next to your Apple Pencil.
After you connect your Apple Pencil, it should appear in the Devices list in Bluetooth preferences. If you don’t see your Apple Pencil, make sure that Bluetooth is on and that your Apple Pencil is charged.
If you’re using an iPad Pro (11-inch) or iPad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation), connect your Apple Pencil to the Smart Connector on the side of your iPad. If you’re using an iPad Pro 10.5-inch or iPad (7th generation), connect your Apple Pencil to the Lightning connector on the bottom of your iPad.
If you have an Apple Pencil (1st generation), remove the cap and insert the Lightning connector into the Lightning port on your iPad. Then touch and hold the Lower Power Mode icon in the status bar for 3 seconds to turn off Lower Power Mode if it’s turned on.
After you connect your Apple Pencil, it should appear in the Devices list in Bluetooth preferences. If you don’t see your Apple Pencil, make sure that Bluetooth is on and that your Apple Pencil is charged.
