How to Connect Your Apple Pencil 1 to the iPad Pro 2020

If you’ve got apple pencil 1 and an iPad Pro 2020, you may be wondering how to connect the two devices. Luckily, it’s easy to do and we’ll show you how in this blog post.

Go to the Bluetooth settings on your iPad Pro 2020.

Make sure that your Apple Pencil is turned on and unpaired with any other devices.
If you see ‘Connected’ next to the Apple Pencil’s name, tap the name and tap Forget This Device, then try to connect again.
Tap settings app > Bluetooth and make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.
On your iPad Pro 2020, tap settings app > Bluetooth, find your Apple Pencil under My Devices.

If you don’t see your Apple Pencil listed in My Devices, make sure that it’s turned on by pressing and holding the tip of your Pencil against the screen until the tool palette appears.
Then touch and hold , tap , then follow the onscreen instructions.

Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.

Before you can connect your Apple Pencil 1 to your iPad Pro 2020, you’ll need to make sure that the Bluetooth feature is turned on. To do this, simply go to your iPad’s Settings menu and tap on Bluetooth. If the feature is turned off, simply tap the switch to turn it on.

Once Bluetooth is turned on, take your Apple Pencil 1 and lightly press and hold the button located on the side of the device. After a few seconds, you should see a popup appear on your iPad screen that says “Apple Pencil 1 is Ready to Pair.” Tap on this popup and then follow the instructions onscreen to complete the pairing process.

Tap the name of your Apple Pencil 1 when it appears in the list of devices.

If your Apple Pencil 1 isn’t connects to your iPad Pro 2020, make sure that Bluetooth is turned on your iPad Pro 2020, then follow these steps.

1. Have your Apple Pencil 1 and iPad Pro 2020 close together.
2. Tap the name of your Apple Pencil 1 when it appears in the list of devices.
3. If you’re asked to enter a passcode, enter 0000, then tap Done.

If you’re prompted for a passcode, enter 0000.

If you don’t see the Apple Pencil in the list of available Bluetooth devices, make sure that your Apple Pencil is turned on. To turn on your Apple Pencil, press and hold both the button and the tip simultaneously for about two seconds.
