If you’re like most people, you probably have a handful of apps that you use regularly on apple tv But did you know that there’s a way to close those apps when you’re finished using them? Here’s a quick tutorial on how to do just that.

The Different Ways to Close Apps
There are a few different ways to close apps on apple tv The first way is to go to home screen and then hold down the Home button on the Siri Remote until the app switcher appears. Then, you can swipe to the right or left find the app that you want to close and then swipe up on the touchpad to close it.
From the Home Screen
There are two ways you can close apps on your Apple TV: from the Home screen or from within the app. If you want to close an app from the Home screen, do the following:
1. Highlight the app you want to close.
2. Press and hold the Touch surface or Select button on your remote.
3. When the app jiggles, click the X in top left corner of the app.
4. Click Delete to confirm that you want to close the app.
From Within an App
If you’re already in an app and want to close it, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the Menu button on your Siri Remote.
2. While still holding the Menu button, press the Home button.
3. Release both buttons when you see the app close.
How to Reopen Apps
If you want to close an app on your Apple TV, hold down the touchpad until the app jiggles. You’ll see an X in the top left corner of the app. Tap on the X, and the app will close. If you want to reopen the app, simply go to the Home screen and launch the app again.
From the Home Screen
There are two ways to close apps on your Apple TV: from the Home screen or using Siri.
From the Home screen, hold down the Touch surface of the remote until the app icon begins to jiggle.
Then, press the Touch surface and drag the app up and off of the top of the screen. The app will close and you’ll be taken back to the Home screen.
From Within an App
There are two ways to close or delete apps on your Apple TV, depending on whether you want to get rid of just one app or clear out all of them.
If you want to close an app while you’re using it, press and hold the Play/Pause button on the Siri Remote. After a few seconds, the App Switcher appears. Use the touchpad or SELECT button to choose an app, then press the Play/Pause button again.
If you want to delete an app, go to Settings > System > Applications and choose an app. Select Delete and confirm that you want to delete it.
