Unplug the keyboard.
Before you begin cleaning your Apple keyboard, it’s important to unplug it from your computer. This will help prevent any damage that might occur if water or cleaning solution were to accidentally enter the keyboard through the connections. If you have a wireless keyboard, simply remove the batteries.
Flip the keyboard over and shake it out.
Use a can of compressed air to blow away any dust or dirt from the keys and in between the keycaps. If you don’t have a can of compressed air, you can use a vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment to gently remove any debris.

Wipe down the keys with a damp, lint-free cloth.
If there is built-up grime on the keys, make a paste of equal parts water and baking soda. Use a toothbrush to scrub the paste into the keys, then wipe away with a damp cloth.
Rinse the keyboard with clean water and dry with a lint-free cloth.
Moisten a lint-free cloth with water and gently wipe down the keys.
Use a lint-free cloth dampened with water to gently wipe down the keys. You can also use a cotton swab or cotton ball dipped in water. Avoid using excessive water, as this could damage the keyboard. If you need to remove stubborn dirt or grime, use a mild cleaner such as rubbing alcohol. Apply the cleaner to a lint-free cloth and wipe down the keys.

Use a lint-free cloth to dry the keyboard. If you don’t have a lint-free cloth, you can use a clean, dry towel. Gently pat the surfaces of the keys and the frame until they are no longer wet. You can also use a can of compressed air to blow any remaining water out of the crevices of the keyboard.
Plug the keyboard back in.

If there are stubborn stains, you can use a mild soap or vinegar solution. Once you’ve wiped down the keyboard, use a clean, dry cloth to remove any soap residue. You can also use compressed air to blow away any dust or dirt that’s accumulated in the keyboard.
