Tips for conserving battery life
Your Apple Watch is equipped with a battery that’s designed to last a full day on a single charge. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your Apple Watch battery:
Reduce Screen Brightness
Your watch faces and apps look great at full brightness, but that level of light can really drain your battery. If you need to save some juice, open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, then go to Brightness & Display. From there, you can turn off Always On or lower your Brightness level.
Use Power Saving Mode
Power Saving Mode can be turned on and off from the Watch app on your iPhone. When Power Saving Mode is on, your watch face will automatically switch to a simple black-and-white face when it’s not active, and some features and apps will become unavailable. You can customize which features and apps you want to use while Power Saving Mode is on.
One of the easiest ways conserve battery life on your Apple Watch is to set the device to lock automatically. You can do this by going to Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Auto-Lock. From there, you can choose a time interval after which your watch will lock itself. The shorter the interval, the more battery life you’ll save.
If you’re using your watch for exercise tracking, you can also enable Power Saving Mode. This mode disables some of the Watch’s features in order to extend its battery life. To enable Power Saving Mode, open the Watch app on your iPhone and go to My Watch -> Workout -> Power Saving Mode.
One quick way to improve your Apple Watch’s battery life is to connect it to Wi-Fi whenever possible. The Apple Watch uses Bluetooth to connect to your iPhone, and that connection can use a lot of energy. But if you’re in range of a Wi-Fi network, your Watch will automatically switch to using that instead — and save some battery life in the process.
Use Do Not Disturb Mode
When you don’t want to be bothered by notifications, use Do Not Disturb mode. You can turn on Do Not Disturb manually or set a schedule. When Do Not Disturb is on, notifications and alerts are silenced and won’t light up your screen. But you can still see them in the Notification Center. If you turn on Do Not Disturb while your screen is off, it will stay on until you turn it off or set a schedule. You can also use Control Center to turn Do Not Disturb on or off.
To use Do Not Disturb:
-Open the Settings app on your iPhone, then tap Do Not Disturb.
-Tap the switch next to Do Not Disturb.
-If you want to be able to see your notifications when you wake your screen, tap Mirror iPhone.”
