How to Charge Your Apple Watch Series 3

If you own an Apple Watch Series 3, you know that it’s an incredible piece of technology. But like all devices that rely on battery power, it needs to be charged on a regular basis. In this article, we’ll show you how to charge your Apple Watch Series 3.

Connecting the Magnetic Charging Cable

The Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) and Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) have a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. You can charge it with the included MagSafe Wireless Charging Case or the USB Power Adapter.

To charge your watch, first make sure that it’s powered off. If you’re using the MagSafe Wireless Charging Case, open the case lid. Place your watch on the charger, making sure that the magnetic charging ring is aligned with the back of the watch. Once your watch is aligned correctly, a chime will sound, and you’ll see a charging symbol on the watch face.

If you’re using the USB Power Adapter, connect one end of the charging cable to the adapter, and then connect the other end to your watch. The MagSafe charging cable has a magnetic connector that snaps into place on your watch automatically.

Your watch will begin charging as soon as you connect it to power and will stop charging automatically when it’s fully charged. It typically takes about 2 hours to fully charge an Apple Watch from 0 percent to 100 percent when you’re using the MagSafe Wireless Charging Case or USB Power Adapter.

Using the Wireless Charging Case

To charge your Apple Watch Series 3, you’ll need to use the special wireless charging case that came with it. This case has a built-in magnetic charging puck that will snap into place on the back of your watch.

Once the charging puck is attached, simply place the entire case onto any Qi-certified wireless charger. You can use the included Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable, or any other Qi-certified charger.

Make sure that your watch is properly aligned in the case so that the charging puck can make contact with the back of your watch. Once everything is lined up, your watch should start charging automatically.

If for some reason your watch doesn’t start charging, make sure that the charger is plugged in and turned on, and then try again. If you’re still having trouble, try resetting your Apple Watch by pressing and holding both the side button and Digital Crown for 10 seconds.
