How to Charge Your Apple Pen

Open the Apple Pen’s charging case lid.

Open the Apple Pen’s charging case lid. You will see a lightning bolt next to the Pen’s charging indicator light, indicating that the pen is charging.

Once the Apple Pen is turned on and connected to your iPad, you can check the battery level at any time by opening the Notifications panel and tapping on the Battery widget.

Insert the Apple Pen into the case so that the charging contacts on the pen line up with the charging contacts in the case.

The pen will start charging when it’s inserted into the case. A green LED on the side of the pen will indicate that it’s charging. It usually takes about an hour to charge the pen fully.

If you have an Apple Pen, you may be wondering how to charge it. Luckily, charging your pen is a simple process. First, make sure that the pen’s nib is inserted properly into the pen body. Next, close the lid of the pen. Doing so will automatically begin charging the pen. The Apple Pen will take about 60 minutes to fully charge.

Connect the charging case to a power source using the included Lightning to USB Cable.

With the flat side of the Pen facing down, insert the Pen into the case so that the side with the pen clip is facing up. Make sure that you hear a click when the Pen snaps into place.

Charging starts automatically as soon as you connect your pen to a power source. A lightning bolt icon appears on the LED status indicator to let you know that your pen is charging. It takes about 90 minutes to fully charge your pen.

The LED on the front of the case will turn white to indicate that the Apple Pen is charging.
