Changing apple id is something you might need to do if you change jobs or schools. Here’s how!
Checkout this video:
Open the Settings app.
1. Open the Settings app, then tap your name at the top of the screen.
2. Tap Password & Security. If you’re using iOS 10.3 or earlier, tap iCloud, then tap apple id
3. Tap Change Password, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Tap your name.
On your iPhone, iPad, ipod touch open the Settings app. Tap your name. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > your name. If you’re signed in to iCloud with an @icloud.com email address, you can’t change it to another email address that uses the same domain. Tap Password & Security. If you’re using iOS 10.3 or later and have two-factor authentication turned on for your Apple ID, you won’t see Password & Security in the list.* Tap Edit. To change your name, enter a new first or last name, or both. To change your birthday, tap Birthday and enter a new date of birth.* To change your email address on file with Apple, tap Email and enter a new address.* To keep people from finding your Apple ID when they search the web, turn on Private Email.* When you finish making changes to your contact information or password settings, tap Done all the way at the top of the screen.
Tap Password & Security.
If you’ve forgotten apple id password you can use the Apple ID account page to reset it. You might also be able to sign in with your Facebook, Google, or Microsoft account credentials, or with your mobile phone number and a one-time passcode.
If you want to change your Apple ID from your current email address to another email address that you control, here’s how:
Tap Password & Security. If asked, enter apple id password Tap Change Apple ID. Enter the email address that you want to use as your new Apple ID. Tap Continue. A verification code is sent to the new email address that you provided. Enter the verification code and tap Verify.
Tap Change Password.
If you can’t sign in or you receive a message that your account has been locked, reset your password to regain access to your account.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
-Open the Settings app.
-Tap [your name].
-Tap Password & Security.
-Tap Change Password. If you’re signed out, enter your current password or device passcode, then follow the steps to update your password.
-Create a new secure password and enter it twice. Then tap Change or Change Password.
On your Mac:
-Open System Preferences and click iCloud, then click Account Details. If you’re using macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier, open iTunes instead of System Preferences, and click on your device.
-Click Security > Change Password.
-Enter both the old password and the new password before clicking Change Password.
Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password.
It’s easy to change apple id password on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. If you want to change apple id password on an iPhone or iPad, the process is a little different. Here’s how to change your Apple ID password, and what to do if you can’t remember your Apple ID password.
If you want to change your Apple ID password on an iPhone or iPad, head to Settings > iTunes & App Store. Tap on your Apple ID at the top of the screen, then tap “Password & Security.” From here, you can enter a new password or tap “Forgot Password?” to reset your Apple ID password.
If you want to change your Apple ID password on a Mac, head to System Preferences > iCloud. Click “Account Details,” then click “Security.” From here, you can enter a new password or click “Change Password” to reset your Apple ID password.
Tap Change or Change Password.
You can change your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it’s not already in use as an Apple ID. Changing your Apple ID is as simple as logging into the Apple ID web site and entering a new email address. But before you do that, there are a couple of things you should do first:
1. Make sure that the new email address you want to use is set up and ready to receive email.
2. If you use iCloud, iMessage, or other services with your current Apple ID, you need to take a few extra steps before changing your Apple ID.
When you’re ready to change your Apple ID, just follow these steps:
1. Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in with your current Apple ID.
2. In the “Account” section, click “Edit.”
3. Click “Change Email Address.”
4. Enter the new email address that you want to use as your Apple ID, then click “Save Changes.”
5. That’s it! Your new email address will now be your Apple ID.*
