How to Change Your Apple ID Password

Open the Settings app.

To change apple id password

Open the Settings app.
Tap your name.
Tap Password & Security.
Tap Change Password. If you’re signed into iCloud and have a passcode enabled, you might be prompted to enter the passcode for your device.
Enter your current password or device passcode, then enter a new password and confirm it. Tap Change or Change Password.

If you forgot apple id password

Reset your password using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, ipod touch

Go to iforgot.apple.com and enter apple id
Choose the option to reset your password, then select Continue and follow the instructions on the next page. If you use two-factor authentication, you’ll need a trusted device or phone number to reset your password and get back into your account.*

You can also change or reset your password from any apple id account page

Tap your name at the top of the screen.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 10.3 or later:

Tap your name at the top of the screen.
Tap Password & Security.
Tap Change Password.
Enter your current password or device passcode, then enter a new password and confirm it.
Tap Change or Change Password.

On your Mac with macOS Sierra 10.12.4 or later:

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud. If you’re using macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud and deselect Find My Mac to continue.* In the sidebar, click Security. If you’re using macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier, click the lock icon to unlock it, then enter an administrator name and password.*
Click Change Password in the General section at the bottom of the window.* Enter a new password in both New Password fields.*

*If you don’t see these options listed here, you’re using an earlier version of macOS.*

Tap Password & Security.

Your Apple ID is the account you use to access Apple services like the App Store, iCloud, iTunes, and more. To change your password, first sign in to your Apple ID account page.

Once you’re signed in, tap “Password & Security.”

Under “Change Password,” enter your current password and then enter a new password twice. Then tap “Change Password.”

Tap Change Password.

Open the Settings app.

Tap your name at the top of the screen, then tap Password & Security.

Tap Change Password. If you’re asked to enter your passcode or confirm your identity with Touch ID or Face ID, do so.

Enter a new password, then enter it again to verify. Passwords must be at least eight characters long and contain at least one letter and one number.

Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password.

If you want to change apple id password for security reasons or because you think it may have been compromised, follow these steps.

1. Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID.
2. Click “Change Password.”
3. Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password.
4. Click “Change Password.”
5. You’ll be prompted to sign in with your new password to complete the process.

Tap Change or Change Password.

If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

1. Go to www.appleid.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
2. If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.
3. Select Change Password, then follow the instructions on the screen.
4. If you’re signing in on a shared device and don’t want to use your password, ask the owner of the device to sign in with their Apple ID.
