No matter how active or inactive you are, apple watch will encourage you to move a little bit more every day. It does this by giving you personalized activity targets, which it calls Move goals.

Every morning, after you put on apple watch and it connects to your iPhone, it will evaluate your recent physical activity and adjust your Move goal for the day accordingly.

If you want, you can also change your Move goal at any time. Maybe you want to be more or less active on a particular day, or maybe you reached your goal early and want to adjust it for the rest of the day. Here’s how!

How to change your calorie goals

If you want to change your calorie goals, open the Activity app on your iPhone. Tap the watch tab then tap Goals. Under Move Goal, tap Edit, then tap the number of active calories that you want to burn each day.

How to change your activity goals

There are three main ways you can change your Apple Watch activity goals: through watch app on your iPhone, through the Activity app on your iPhone, or directly on your Apple Watch. Each method is slightly different, so we’ll go over all three.

Changing Your Apple Watch Goals Through the Watch App

1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap “My Watch.”
2. Tap “Privacy” and then “Motion & Fitness.”
3. Tap “Fitness Tracking.”
4. Turn off “Fitness Tracking” and then wait a few seconds for it to turn back on. This will reset your fitness tracking data, including your activity goals.
5. Tap “Back” and then “Activity.”
6. Tap “Change Goals.”
7. Enter a new calorie burn goal, active minutes goal, or stand goal, depending on which goal you want to change.
8 Scroll down and tap “Reset Move Goal” if you want to reset your daily step goal as well. This will change your step goal for the current day only; if you want to change your step goal for future days, you’ll need to do so through the Activity app (see below).
9. Tap “Save” when you’re finished making changes.

How to change your stand goals

On your iPhone, open the Watch app. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap Goals. Under Stand, tap the number of hours that you want to stand each day. You can also turn on Stand Reminders to help you stand more often.
