Fitness is important, and setting goals is a good way to stay motivated. If find that you’re not reaching your fitness goals, or if your goal has changed, you can always adjust it. Here’s how!
Open apple watch app on your iPhone and tap the watch tab Scroll down and tap Fitness. From here, you can change your Activity goal, Move goal, and Stand goal.
Activity tracks how much moving around you do in a day, whether it’s walking, running, or using the staircase instead of the elevator. You can choose to be notified when you reach your goal, or set a custom goal for calories burned, time spent moving around, or distance traveled.
Move tracks how many active calories you burn in a day. This is different from the Activity calorie burn because it takes into account factors like your sex, height, weight, and age to give you a more accurate number. You can choose to be notified when you reach your goal, or set a custom goal for active calories burned.
Stand tracks how many times you stand up in a day. The idea is to get you moving even when you’re not doing any intense activity; standing up and walking around for a few minutes every hour has health benefits even if it doesn’t make much of a dent in your step count! You can choose to be notified when you’ve stood up for at least one minute twelve times in a day (the default), or set a custom goal for hours spent standing.
Once you’ve made your changes, tap Update in top right corner of the screen. Your new fitness goals will be synced to your Apple Watch!
