Introduction
apple watch comes with a variety of strap colors and materials. You can change your band to match your style or outfit for the day. In this article, we’ll show you how to change apple watch band in a few easy steps.
What You’ll Need
In order to change your band, you will need the following:
-Your Apple Watch
-The new band
-A small, flat screwdriver (If needed)
Step One: Remove Your Old Band
Start by removing your old band. If you’re not sure how, Apple has a tutorial here. Once your old band is removed, simply slide the new one onto your watch. Make sure that the watch is in the correct orientation (the side with the heart rate sensor should be on the bottom of your wrist) before start sliding on the new band.
Step Two: Attach Your New Band
If your new band comes with an adapter, attach it to your watch first. If your new band doesn’t come with an adapter, you can use the one that came with apple watch
To attach your band, match the band color code on the underside of the band with the color code on the inside of the watch case. If you’re not sure which way to put in the band, hold it so that the Watch logo is right-side up, then insert it into the bottom slot first.
Press and hold the release button on the bottom of the watch case. Insert the end of the band into the bottom slot, then slide it under the top part of the strap retainer.
Release the button, then make sure that both straps are securely in place and that your Watch is snug but comfortable on your wrist. If you need to adjust it, press and hold both release buttons at once, then slide one band out while you slide in a different size or style.
Step Three: Adjust the Band
Now that you’ve removed the old band, it’s time to put on the new one. Start by holding the band at the end with the watch face on your wrist. Then, insert the end of the band into the slot on the bottom of the watch. Make sure that you hear a click when the band is in place.
If you’re having trouble inserting the band, make sure that you’re holding it in the correct orientation. The bottom of the band should be facing out, and you should be able to see the Apple logo through the slot on the watch. Once you’ve inserted one end of the band, stretch it across your wrist and insert the other end into the slot on top of the watch. Again, make sure that you hear a click when it’s in place.
