How to Change Your Apple Watch Background

Apple Watch is a great addition to your iPhone. It not only keeps you connected, but it also helps you stay active and motivated. Plus, you can customize your watch face to match your style. Here’s how to change apple watch background.

Open watch app on your iPhone.

Open the Watch app on your iPhone. Tap My Watch, then tap Appearance. To choose a new watch face, tap , then scroll to see all the faces. Swipe left or right to see more faces, then tap one that you want to use.

Some faces might have options that you can customize. For example, you might be able to change the color or style of a watch face, or add complications that show information from apps. After you customize a face, tap Add.

If you have recently updated your iPhone to watchOS 6, you may have noticed that apple watch background no longer matches your phone’s wallpaper. Instead, it defaults to a new complications-filled default watch face.

But don’t worry, you can still choose your favorite photo as apple watch background. Just follow the steps below.

Tap the watch tab
Scroll down and tap Wallpaper.
Tap Choose a New Wallpaper.
You can either choose one of Apple’s stock photos or select a Live Photo that you took with your iPhone. If you want to use one of your own photos, just tap the Photos option at the bottom of the screen.

Tap Appearance.

On your iPhone, open the Watch app. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap Appearance. Under watch Faces, tap Edit. To add a new watch face, tap , then choose from the following:

-Utility: This template includes a large center complication surrounded by four smaller ones.
-Modular: This template includes a large center complication with two smaller complications on each side. You can also add a Complication to the bottom left of the face.
-Simple: This template includes space for one large Complication or two smaller ones. You can also add a Complication to the bottom left of the face.
-Chronograph: This template lets you track elapsed time with the stopwatch and see current time in a subdial. It also includes space for three other small complications.
-Color: This template displays a different color scheme depending on the time of day. It offers space for three small complications.
-Photo: This template displays a photo that you choose, along with space for two small complications

Tap Background App Refresh.

On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app. Tap the My Watch tab, tap general > Background App Refresh.

Tap the switch next to an app to turn onBackground App Refresh for that app. When Background App Refresh is on, apps that take advantage of this feature can refresh themselves in the background so that when you launch them, you have the latest information.

To see how much battery an app is using, go to Settings > Battery on your iPhone.

Turn off Background App Refresh.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, then tap General -> Background App Refresh. You can choose to turn off Background App Refresh altogether, or you can selectively turn it off for individual apps. To do the latter, simply toggle the switch next to an app to the Off position.
