How to Change Your Apple ID

Open the Settings app.

Here’s how to change your Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad,ipod touch Mac, or PC:

Open the Settings app.
Tap your name at the top of the screen.
Tap Edit Profile.
Tap Name, Phone Numbers, Email.
Tap Edit next to the information that you want to change.

Enter the new information and tap Done.

When you change your Apple ID, all the data and files associated with that account are transferred to the new account. This includes contacts, photos, videos, documents, and any other data you may have stored in iCloud.

Tap “Password & Security.”

If you’re using iOS 10.3 or later, tap Settings > [your name] > Password & Security. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Password & Security.

Tap Edit, then change your password. If you don’t know your current password, tap Forgot password?, and we’ll help you reset it.

Enter your new password twice, then tap Done.

Tap “Change Password.”

If you’re updating your password because you think it may have been compromised, first change apple id password on any other device that you own that’s using the same Apple ID. If you can’t sign in to any of your devices with your current password, use these instructions to reset your password.

Tap Change Password.

Open the Settings app. Tap iCloud. Tap your Apple ID (such as [email protected]). If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Password & Security. If you’re using iOS 11 or later, tap Security. Tap Change Password.*
3. On your Mac with macOS Sierra 10.12 or later:
Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences > iCloud. Click Account Details.* Click Security > Change Password.*
4 On your Mac with macOS High Sierra 10.13:
Click the lock icon to unlock it.* Enter an administrator name and password/ Click Modify Password.*
