How to Change Your Apple ID on iPhone

If you need to change apple id on your iPhone, you can do so in just a few steps. Here’s how to do it!

Open the Settings app.

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap “iCloud.”
3. Tap “Account.”
4. Tap “apple id
5. Enter your new Apple ID and tap “Done.”

Tap your name.

Sign in to your Apple ID account page.

In the Account section, click Edit.

Under your Apple ID, click Change Apple ID.

Enter the email address that you want to use as your new Apple ID.

Click Continue. If you don’t see the Continue button, click Add Email.

Enter your password, then click Continue. If you don’t see a Continue button, click Done.

Tap Password & Security.

If you need to change apple id password for any reason, you can do so right on your iPhone. Here’s how.

Open the Settings app. Tap your name at the top of the screen. Tap Password & Security. Tap Change Password. Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Tap Change or Change Password to confirm.

Tap Change Password.

If you have an iPhone 6s or later, you can use 3D Touch to quickly change apple id password Just press and hold the Settings icon on your Home screen, and tap Change Password when the shortcut menu appears.

If you’re using an iPhone 6 or earlier, or you can’t use 3D Touch, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap iCloud.
3. Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen. If you’re not signed in, tap Sign In, then enter your Apple ID and password before proceeding.
4. Tap Password & Security and enter your iCloud password if prompted. This step might not be necessary depending on your security settings.
5. Tap Change Password and enter a new password when prompted, then enter it again to confirm it.

Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password.

You can change apple id password on your iPhone, iPad,ipod touch or Mac at any time. If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it using the web browser on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

If you use security questions with your Apple ID, you can go to to reset your password.

Changing your password also updates the passwords for all the Apple services that you’re signed in to with your Apple ID.

To change your password on an iOS device:

1. Tap Settings > [your name] > Password & Security. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud > Password & Security.
2. Tap Change Password. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you might need to enter a verification code first.
3. Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password*. Try to use a strong password that’s different from the passwords you use for other websites and accounts.
*Passwords must have at least eight characters including a number and an uppercase letter.* If you’re signed in to iCloud Keychain and have a MobileMe account associated with your Apple ID, changing apple id password also changes these passwords:
– The iCloud Keychain master key that encrypts all of the items stored in iCloud Keychain.
– The key used to decrypt files encrypted with FileVault 2.
– The passwords stored in Mail app accounts.
After changing these passwords on one device, remember to update them everywhere else that they’re used:
– Update Wi-Fi network passwords on other devices.
– Update third-party app passwords after changing them in Settings > Passwords & Security > Website & App Passwords (if this option is available).

Tap Change or Change Password.

Depending on which type of Apple ID you have, you might see different options:

If you have an Apple ID that uses an email address, tap Change Email Address.
If you have an Apple ID that uses a phone number, tap Change Phone Number.
If you have an Apple ID that uses a third-party service such as Google, Facebook, or Twitter, tap Change Password. Then enter your current password and tap Sign In.
