- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Sign Out. If you have an iCloud Keychain and you’re signed in to iCloud, you might be asked to enter your iCloud Security Code.
- Enter your Apple ID and password, then tap Sign In. If you don’t have an Apple ID, tap Forgot your Apple ID or password? and follow the onscreen instructions.
- If asked, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.*
- If you use iOS 11.3 or later, tap Change Password. If you’re asked to enter your current password, enter it.
- Enter a new password, then enter it again to verify.
- Tap Done.
You can change the email address, password, and other account information associated with apple id from your iPad.

It’s easy to change the email address that you use as your Apple ID. If you have multiple addresses, you can choose which one to use as your Apple ID. You can also change the name associated with your Apple ID. If you have questions about changing your Apple ID or password,contact apple support
Before you change your Apple ID, consider what might happen to the content associated with that account. For example, you won’t be able to access iTunes Store purchases that you made with that account. And if you use iCloud, Contacts, Calendar, or Reminders will be deleted from your device (but not from iCloud).
To change the email address that you use as your Apple ID
On your iPad, go to Settings > [your name].
Tap Edit next to the Primary Email field.
If there isn’t an Edit button , tap Add Email or Send Verification Email. Then follow the steps to add or verify an email address.
Type a new email address and tap Done. Or tap Delete to remove an email address.
When you’re asked if you want to keep or delete copies of the data that’s stored on this iPhone, choose Keep on My [device] or Delete from My [device], then tap Done.
Enter your Apple ID and password, then tap Sign In. If you don’t have an Apple ID, tap Forgot your Apple ID or password? and follow the onscreen instructions.
If you’re not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID.
On the Account page, tap Edit.
Tap Change Apple ID.
Enter the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID, then tap Next. If you don’t have an iCloud email address, tap Get a free iCloud email address, then follow the onscreen instructions to create one.
Enter your password, then tap Next. If you’re asked for verification codes, don’t enter them now; we’ll get to that later. If you forgot your password and can’t reset it using the web browser on your iPhone or iPad, visit your Apple ID account page contact apple support and ask for help resetting your password.
After you change your Apple ID, you might need to update it in Settings for some apps or services (like Messages or App Store).
If asked, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.*
If you need to sign in with a different Apple ID on your device, there are a few ways to do it.
If you’re using iOS 10.3 or later:
Tap Settings > [your name]. Tap Sign Out, then tap Sign In. Enter your Apple ID and password, then tap Continue.
If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier:
Tap Settings > iCloud. Tap Sign Out, then tap Sign In. Enter your Apple ID and password, then tap Done.
You can also change the order of your Apple ID accounts in Settings. This is the account that you’ll see first when you sign in to iCloud, the iTunes & App Store, or other Apple services.
Tap Settings > [your name]. Tap Account > Set as Primary.
If you use iOS 11.3 or later, tap Change Password. If you’re asked to enter your current password, enter it.
If you forgot your Apple ID password
If you forgot apple id password follow these steps to reset it. Then, sign in with new apple id password to access Apple services.
Change apple id password on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Tap Settings > [your name], then tap Password & Security. If you’re asked to enter your current password, enter it. Tap Change Password. Enter a new password and confirm it, then tap Change or Change Password.
After you change your password, you might need to update it in the App Store app, iTunes Store app, iBooks Store app, and Sites Settings on your device.
Enter a new password, then enter it again to verify.
It’s easy to change your Apple ID from your iPad if you need to. Here’s how:
1. Open Settings and tap on your name at the top of the screen.
2. Tap Password & Security.
3. Enter a new password, then enter it again to verify. You will also be asked to enter in a recovery keyword if you have one set up.
4. Tap Save when you’re finished.
Tap Done.
If you need to change your Apple ID on your iPad, there are a few ways to do it. You can either change it directly on your iPad, or you can change it through the Settings app.
If you want to change your Apple ID on your iPad, just follow these steps:
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap on iCloud.
3. Tap on Account.
4. Tap on Change Apple ID.
5. Enter the new Apple ID that you want to use, and tap on Done.
