Follow these steps to change the email address that you use as apple id This might be the address that you created when you first set up apple id or a different one that you added later.

Go to Appleid.apple.com
If you want to change your primary email address, which is also known as apple id you can do so right from apple id account page Here’s how:
Go to Appleid.apple.com and sign in with your current Apple ID and password.
In the “Account” section, click Edit.
Under the “Apple ID and Primary Email Address” section, click Change Email Address.
Enter the new email address you want to use as your Apple ID.
Click Continue.
A verification code will be sent to the new email address you provided. Enter the code, then click Verify.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Open the Settings app. Tap your name. Tap Edit. If you can’t edit your profile,contact apple support Under Contact Information & Preferences, tap Email. Enter the new email address that you want to use.* If you don’t want to be reachable at your new email address, tap the menu next to your new email address and select **Info not kept**. Tap Save when you’re finished.
On your Mac
Open System Preferences, then click Apple ID. Click Name, Phone Numbers, Email. Click Edit in the sidebar. To add an email address, click , then enter the new email address that you want to use.* To make this new address your primary email address and have messages sent to it by default, select **Primary Email** next to it.* If you don’t want to be reachable at this new email address, select **Info not kept** next to it.* Click Done when you’re finished.
Click “Edit” next to the “Account” section
Click “Edit” next to the “Account” section. This will open the “Account Settings” menu. Here, you can change your name, address, language, and delivery options. You can also change your payment method and view your purchase history.
Click “Change Email Address”
If you want to change the email address that you use as your Apple ID, there are a few things that you need to do. First, you need to sign out of all of the Apple services that you use with your current Apple ID. Once you’ve signed out of everything, you can change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use.
To sign out of iCloud, go to Settings > iCloud and tap Sign Out. To sign out of the iTunes Store and App Store, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap your Apple ID. Tap Sign Out when prompted. To sign out of iMessage, go to Settings > Messages and tap Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID and tap Sign Out.
Once you’ve signed out of everything, you can change your Apple ID email address by going to appleid.apple.com and clicking “Edit” next to the “Primary Email Address” field. Enter the new email address that you want to use as your Apple ID and click “Save.”
Enter your new email address
Click the link in the email to verify your new address, then enter your password and choose Update Email. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder or have Apple send it again.
If you’re having trouble, sign out of your Apple ID, then sign in again.
Click “Continue”
Enter the new email address you want to use as your Apple ID. If you don’t have icloud account create a new one with the new email address.
Enter the verification code that was sent to your new email address
Once you have entered the verification code that was sent to your new email address, you will be able to change your Apple ID email address. After you have changed your Apple ID email address, you can use this new email address to sign in to all Apple services that use your Apple ID.
Click “Continue”
If you change your Apple ID to a third-party email address, you need to verify your new address. Click or tap Continue, then follow the instructions on the next screen. If you’re asked to enter information about your previous email address, enter it and click or tap Continue.
Your Apple ID email has been successfully changed!
If you need to change your Apple ID email address for any reason, you can do so directly from apple id account page
Here’s how to change your Apple ID email address:
1. Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in to your Apple ID account.
2. Click “Edit” next to the “Account” section.
3. Click “Change Email Address.”
4. Enter the new email address that you want to use as your Apple ID, then click “Continue.”
5. Enter the new email address again to verify it, then click “Continue.”
6. A verification code will be sent to the new email address that you entered; enter that code in the field provided, then click “Verify.”
7. Your Apple ID email address has now been successfully changed!
