How to Change Your Apple Email Address

Apple offers the ability to change the email address associated with apple id This can be useful if you have a new email address or need to change an old one for any reason.

Logging into Your Apple ID

If you want to change the email address that is associated with apple id you can do so by logging into apple id account page From there, you will be able to update your email address and other personal information.

Go to Apple’s website

Visit Apple’s website and click on the “My Apple ID” link. You will be prompted to sign in with your apple id and password.

Enter your Apple ID and password

If you know your Apple ID and password, enter them and click Sign In. If you’ve forgotten your password, click Forgot Password and follow the instructions.

If you don’t have an Apple ID, click Create Your Apple ID and fill out the form to create one.

Changing Your Email Address

If you have icloud account you can change your Apple ID to any email address you control. This can be useful if you want to change your email address for any reason. You can also change the email address that you use as your Apple ID.

Select “Edit” next to your email address

On the “Email” section of the “Profile” page, select “Edit” next to your email address. If you don’t see an “Edit” link, your Apple ID doesn’t have an associated email address. To change your email address, you must first add one to your Apple ID account.

Enter your new email address

You can change the email address that you use with your Apple ID. And you can set up multiple email addresses to use with your Apple ID, such as an iCloud, .Mac, or MobileMe account email address.

To change your primary email address on an iPhone, iPad, ipod touch with iOS 10.3 or later:

1. Tap Settings > [your name].
2. Tap Name, Phone Numbers, Email.
3. Tap Edit under the “Reachable At” section and delete your old @icloud.com or @me.com email address by tapping the Delete button (x). Then enter your new @icloud.com or @me.com email address and tap Done > Done to confirm the change.

You can also add a new secondary email address to use with Apple ID accounts that end in icloud.com, me.com, or mac.com by tapping Add More Emails > and entering the new email address you want to use.* You will need to verify each new secondary email address before you can use it as an Apple ID account login option.*

Select “Save”

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Passwords & Accounts, then tap your email account.
3. Tap Account, then tap Info.
4. Tap the field that shows your email address, then type the new address you want to use.
5. Tap Save when you’re finished.

Updating Your Email Address

It’s easy to change the email address that you use with your Apple ID. You can update your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it’s not already in use as an Apple ID. When you change your Apple ID to a new email address, you’ll automatically be signed out of all the Apple services that you use with your Apple ID.

Go to your email account’s website

If you want to change the email address that you use with Apple, such as iCloud, iTunes, App Store, or iMessage, you can do it directly from your device or by visiting your email account’s website.

How to change your Apple email address on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Go to Settings > [your name].
Tap Edit.
Under Reachable At, tap Add More Emails.
Enter the email address that you want to use.
Tap Done.

If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier:
Go to Settings > iCloud.
Tap Account > Security > Password & Security.
Tap Edit next to the Receive At section.
Enter the email address that you want to use.

Enter new apple id email address

1. Open the Apple ID website.
2. Enter your Apple ID and password, then click Sign In.
3. Click Edit in the Accounts section.
4. Click the “-” button next to the email address that you want to remove, then click Save Changes.
5. Click Add Email Address, then enter your new email address and click Continue.
6. Follow the instructions to verify your new email address, then click Save Changes.

Follow the instructions to update your email address

1. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > [your name] > Name, Phone Numbers, Email.
2. Under Contact Information, tap Email.
3. Tap Add Email, then enter your new email address. Choose how you want to be reached by tapping the email type under REACHABLE AT.
4. Tap Next, then wait for a verification code to be sent to your new email address. Enter the code, then tap Verify in the upper right corner of the screen

Changing Your Primary Email Address

You can change the email address that you use as your Apple ID. Your Apple ID is the account that you use to access Apple services like the App Store, iCloud, iTunes, and more. If you change your Apple ID to a third-party email address, you need to verify your account.

Go to Apple’s website

Go to Apple’s website and log in with your Apple ID. Click on the “My Apple ID” link in the upper-left corner of the screen. On the right side of the screen, under the “Account” section, click on the “Edit” button next to your primary email address. Enter your new email address in the “Apple ID and Primary Email Address” field. Enter your password in the “Password” field. Click on the “Save Changes” button.

Select “Manage your Apple ID”

Open Apple’s website. In your browser, go to Apple’s website, then click on the “My Apple ID” tab. This tab is in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Enter your password and click “Manage your Apple ID”. When you see the “Welcome to My Apple ID” page, enter your password in the text field, then click on the blue “Manage your Apple ID” button.

Click “Edit” next to your primary email address. You’ll see a list of all the email addresses that are associated with your Apple ID account. Click on the “Edit” button next to the primary email address.

Enter a new primary email address and click “Save”. In the pop-up window, enter a new primary email address in the “Email Address” text field, then click on the blue “Save” button.

Enter your Apple ID and password

If you want to change the email address that you use as your Apple ID, and that you use to sign in to iCloud, iTunes, the App Store, and other Apple services, follow these steps.

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
1. Tap Settings > [your name], then scroll down.
2. Tap Password & Security > Change Password.
3. Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Tap Change or Change Password. If asked, enter the password for your Apple ID.
4. When you change your password, some apps that use your Apple ID might ask you to enter the new password or re-enter your Apple ID credentials. If so, follow the onscreen instructions before proceeding 5Tap Edit next to Reachable At.
6. Tap Add More Emails… or Remove Email to update your preferred email addresses.
You can also tap primary email address next to any of your alternate email addresses to make it your primary address.
If you have an iCloud account older than September 19, 2012, and see only one email address under Reachable At listed in Step 6 above or in Settings > iCloud after signing in with your current password:
-Tap Delete Account.
-When asked if you want to keep a copy of your data on this iPhone for later re-use, tap Keep a Copy.
-Enter all of the required information and tap Next.
When prompted with the message “You can’t delete [email protected] because it’s used for iMessage,” tap Remove From My iPhone (you’ll still be able to use this email address as an alternate/backup).
After deleting two accounts from this list [Reachable At], sign out of iCloud entirely (tap Settings > iCloud > Sign Out) then sign back in using only 1 account/email address at a time until only 1 is left in the list as [Reachable At].

Select “Edit” next to your primary email address

1. On your iPhone, open the Settings app.
2. Tap Passwords & Accounts, then tap your primary email account. If you don’t see it, tap Add Account, tap Other, then tap Add Mail Account.
3. Tap the email address next to “Email.”
4. Enter the new email address for your account. If you have an iCloud device with iOS 10 or later or macOS Sierra or later, you can keep your @icloud.com address as a secondary email address and add a new primary email address. Just enter the new address in the “Email” field, then tap “Done.”
5. Tap Next, then follow the instructions on your screen to enter the password for your new account and complete any other fields that are required — like mail server settings — before tapping Done on your iPhone’s keyboard

Enter your new email address

Enter your new email address and choose Continue.
-A verification code is sent to your new email address.
-Enter the verification code and choose Verify.
-Choose Save.

Select “Save”

Sign in to appleid.apple.com with your current Apple ID and password.
In the “Account” section, click Edit.
Under “Reachable At,” click the “+ Add More Email Addresses” link.
Enter the email address you want to use as your primary Apple ID, then click Continue.
A verification code is sent to the new email address. Enter the code and click Verify.
Click Save in the upper-right corner of the screen
