You don’t want to get automatically charged for a service you’re not using, but you also don’t want to lose all of the music you’ve added to your library during the trial.
Here’s what you need to know about canceling your Apple Music free trial before it automatically renews and charges you for a membership.

What is Apple Music?
Apple Music is a streaming music service made available by Apple. It offers users access to a wide range of music, including both albums and individual songs, as well as music video content. It also features radio stations and artist-curated playlists. A monthly subscription is required to use the service.
How to cancel your Apple Music free trial
If you have an Apple Music free trial, you might be wondering how to cancel it. The process is actually quite simple and only takes a few minutes. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to cancel your Apple Music free trial.
On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you signed up for a free trial using your iPhone, iPad, ipod touch you can cancel anytime during your free trial. After the free trial ends, your subscription will automatically continue at the regular monthly price until you cancel.
1. Tap App Store on your Home screen.
2. Tap the profile icon in top right corner of the screen.
3. Tap your name > Subscriptions.
4. Tap Apple Music Membership > Cancel Subscription or turn off Automatic Renewal*. If you don’t see cancel, tap the down arrow next to your name > View Information > Subscriptions > Apple Music Membership > Cancel Subscription or turn off Automatic Renewal*.
On your Android device
If you signed up for Apple Music on your Android device, you can cancel your subscription using the instructions below.
1. Open apple music app
2. Tap the menu button .
3. Tap Account.
4. Tap Join Apple Music or Edit Membership.
5. Tap Cancel Membership at the bottom of the screen.
6. Tap Confirm to cancel your subscription.
On your computer
Open iTunes. If you’re not signed in, sign in with apple id
Click For You in the sidebar.
Scroll to the bottom and click View Account.
Enter your password, then press the Return or Enter key on your keyboard, or click View Account.
On the Account Information page, scroll to the Settings section.
To the right of Subscriptions, click Manage.
Click Edit next to your Apple Music subscription. If you don’t see an Edit button, click Apple Music Membership.
Click Cancel Subscription.
You might have to sign in again with apple id and password.
If you cancel during your free trial, you’ll lose access to Apple Music immediately. If you cancel more than 48 hours after sign-up, you might be charged.
How much does Apple Music cost?
Apple Music subscription start at $9.99 (USD) per month with a 3-month free trial available for new subscribers. An individual plan allows you to stream on your Apple device or computer and has offline listening capabilities. You can also create an account that is compatible with Sonos, Android, and other third-party devices. A family plan gives up to six family members access to their own individual Apple Music accounts for $14.99 (USD) per month after a 3-month free trial*. Student plans are available for eligible college students with a valid student ID for $4.99 (USD) per month after a 3-month free trial*.

What happens when my Apple Music free trial ends?

You’ve enjoyed your free Apple Music trial, but now you’re ready to cancel. Here’s how to do it.
First, open the Apple Music app on your iPhone or iPad. Then, tap the profile icon in the top left corner of the screen. Next, tap on View Apple ID. You might need to enter your password at this point.
Once you’re in your account settings, scroll down and tap on Subscriptions. Then, select Apple Music Membership and tap on Cancel Subscription. You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to cancel; once you do, your subscription will end at the end of the current billing cycle.
And that’s all there is to it! Once your subscription ends, you’ll lose access to all of the music and other content that came with it. But don’t worry – you can always sign up again later if you change your mind.
