How to Cancel an App Subscription on Apple

Not using an app you’re paying for monthly? Here’s how to cancel an app subscription on Apple in a few easy steps.

Open the Settings app.

Open the Settings app. Tap your name. Tap Subscriptions. (If you don’t see “Subscriptions,” tap “iTunes & App Store” instead. When you cancel a subscription, the subscription is suspended at the end of its current billing cycle, and will no longer be automatically renewed by Apple. However, you will still have access to any content that you’ve already paid for through the end of its current billing cycle. For example, if you cancel a monthly subscription on January 1st, you will still have access to content until January 31st. If you cancel an annual subscription on September 1st, you will still have access to content until September 30th.

Apple offers many products and services, some of which require subscriptions. You might have subscribed to an app, such as a music streaming service, or a service that provides new levels or features for an app. You might have also subscribed to Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, or another Apple service.

To cancel an app subscription:

1. Tap your name.
2. Tap Subscriptions. (If you don’t see “Subscriptions,” tap “iTunes & App Store” instead. Then tap your Apple ID,tap view apple id sign in, scroll down to Subscriptions, and tap Subscriptions.)
3. Tap the subscription that you want to manage.
4. If you still want to access the content that the subscription gets you—for example, if you’re canceling a News+ subscription but still want to read articles in the News app—tap Cancel Subscription but Don’t Turn Off Automatic Renewal.
5. If you want to cancel your subscription and stop all future payments: Tap Turn Off Automatic Renewal.*
6. If prompted, enter your password again and tap Turn Off Automatic Renewal to confirm.*

*If you’re being charged for a subscription but don’t see it in your list of subscriptions here, it might be billed through someone other than Apple—for example, through your cellular carrier or workplace—or billed as part of a family share plan.*

Tap Subscriptions. You might need to enter apple id password to see your subscriptions.

Subscriptions might offer a discounted or free trial. You might need to sign in with your Apple ID.

Tap the subscription that you want to manage.

Use the options to manage your subscription. You can choose a different subscription period, or turn off Automatic Renewal.

When you cancel a subscription, you might lose access to content that you’ve already paid for.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
Open the Settings app. Tap your name, then tap iTunes & App Store. Tap your Apple ID, then tap View Apple ID. You might need to sign in or use Touch ID. Tap Subscriptions. Tap the subscription that you want to manage. Use the options to manage your subscription. You can choose a different subscription offering, or tap Cancel Subscription to cancel your subscription. If you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

On your Mac:
Open the App Store app. Click the sign-in button or your name at the bottom of the sidebar. Click View Information at the top of the window.. You might be asked to sign in with your Apple ID. On the page that appears, scroll to the Subscriptions section and click Manage.. If you don’t see a Subscriptions section, click Edit in the upper-left corner of
the page and then select Subscriptions from
the drop-down menu.. Find and open the subscription that you want to manage,. If you’re being charged for a subscription but don’t see it in this list, make sure that you’re signed in with
the correct Apple ID and check other devices where you might be signed in with that same Apple ID The easiest way to find out if you have other devices signed in with same is if everyone who uses those devices uses iCloud Keychain (go to Settings > iCloud and make sure there is a check mark by iCloud Keychain). Any device that shares iCloud keychain will have access to any other account synced keychain data—including subscriptions—unless specifically disabled in Settings.”
