Setting Up Apple Pay

Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple Inc. that lets users make payments in person, in iOS apps, and on the web. They can use apple pay to buy things online without having to enter their credit card information. Setting up Apple Pay is easy and only takes a few minutes.

Add your credit or debit card to Wallet

Open the Wallet app and tap the “+” sign in the upper-right corner.

From here, you can use your iPhone’s camera to enter your card information or manually enter it yourself. You may be asked to verify your card; this can be done via SMS or a phone call from your bank.

Once your card is verified and set up, you’ll need to choose whether you want to allow Apple Pay to default to using this card for purchases or not.

Set up Apple Pay on your devices

If you want use apple pay to make purchases in stores, you need an iPhone 6 or later, or apple watch If you want use apple pay to make in-app purchases, you need an iPhone 6 or later, iPad Air 2 or later, iPad mini 3 or later, or iPod touch (6th generation).

To set up Apple Pay on your devices, follow these steps:

1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.
2. Tap the plus sign + in the upper-right corner.
3. Follow the instructions on your screen. You might need to enter your card’s security code to add it to Wallet.
4. On your Apple Watch, open the Watch app on your iPhone, then tap Wallet & Apple Pay. Add a card by tapping the plus sign + at the top of the screen; follow the instructions on your screen

Using Apple Pay

Apple Pay is a payment method that allows you to use your Apple device to make purchases. You use apple pay in stores, in apps, and on websites. To use Apple Pay, you need to have an Apple device that is compatible with Apple Pay. You also need to have a credit or debit card that is compatible with Apple Pay.

Use Apple Pay in stores

If you see one of these symbols at a participating store, you can use Apple Pay.

To pay, hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with your finger on Touch ID. You don’t need to wake up or unlock your device, or open an app.

If you’re asked to provide a PIN, sign a receipt, or pay with a different card, you can use Wallet instead. Just double-click the Home button and hold your iPhone near the reader. Then follow the steps on your screen.

Use Apple Pay in apps

Open the app and choose Apple Pay as your payment method. Place your finger on Touch ID to confirm the payment.
Or, if you turned off Touch ID for Apple Pay, enter your Passcode.

You might need to sign a receipt or enter your PIN.

Use Apple Pay on websites

Apple Pay uses an iPhone or iPad to make secure payments on websites in Safari. When you’re using Apple Pay on a website, you don’t need to enter your card details.

To use Apple Pay on websites:
1. Look for the Apple Pay button or Apple Pay logo at checkout.
2. On your iPhone or iPad, tap the button or logo, then hold your device near the contactless reader. You might need to sign in with Touch ID or Face ID.
3. If asked, confirm the payment with Face ID or Touch ID, or enter your passcode.
4. Check your billing, shipping, and contact information to make sure that it’s correct and up to date. If you need to, select a new shipping address or payment method before you complete your purchase.

Troubleshooting Apple Pay

If you’re having trouble using Apple Pay, make sure that you’re using the latest version of iOS, watchOS, or macOS. You might also need to update your iPhone or Apple Watch, or add a new card to Wallet. If you’re still having trouble, contact your bank or card issuer.

Check if your device is compatible with Apple Pay

To use Apple Pay, you need one of these devices running iOS 11.2 or later:
-iPhone SE
-iPhone 6s or later
-iPad Pro
-iPad (5th generation) or later
-iPad Air 2 or later
-iPad mini 3 or later

Check if your card is compatible with Apple Pay

Before you can start using Apple Pay, you need to make sure that your card is compatible with the service. To do this, open the Wallet app on your iPhone and tap on the “+” sign in the top right corner. From here, enter your card’s security code to add it to Wallet. If you see the option to “Set Up Apple Pay,” this means that your card is compatible with the service.

Check if your bank or card issuer supports Apple Pay

Before you can add a card to Wallet, check to see if your bank or card issuer offers Apple Pay. Many major credit and debit cards are accepted. If you’re not sure if your card works with Apple Pay, contact your bank or card issuer. They can confirm whether your card is eligible to use Apple Pay.
