There are a few different ways to add steps to your Apple Watch. One way is to add them manually. This can be done by going to the Health app on your iPhone and tapping ‘Add Data’ > ‘Steps’. Set up Health on your iPhone
Before you can see your step count information on your Apple Watch, you need to set up the Health app on your iPhone.
1. Open the Health app on your iPhone.
2. Tap the Summary tab, then tap Profile.
3. Tap Edit, tap add data point
4. Tap Step Count, then tap Continue.
5. Choose a unit of measurement and tap Save.
6. Return to the Health app and tap Sources.

Set up your Apple Watch
Open the Activity app on your iPhone. Tap the watch tab then tap Privacy > Motion & Fitness. Turn on Health Tracking and Heart Rate.
Check your steps
To see how many steps you’ve taken today, open the Activity app on your iPhone.
Tap the History tab, then tap a day. If you wear your watch to bed, you can see how much sleep you got the night before.
To see more detail about your step counts, tap an hour or a day.
