With iOS 10.3, Apple made it easier than ever to share your Apple Music subscription with friends and family. Here’s how:
1. Tap the profile icon in the upper-right corner.
2. Scroll down and tap Add Family Member.
3. Enter your family member’s name or email address and tap Continue.
4. Select whether you’d like to share your existing Apple Music subscription or set up a new one for your family member, then tap Done.’

If you’re using Family Sharing and you have ask to buy turned on, your family members need to approve purchases or downloads before they go through. You can add people to your Apple Music family subscription so that they have access to all of the features and music that you do. Here’s how:
Open apple music app and tap the For You tab.

Enter apple id password or fingerprint ID when prompted.

If you’re asked to confirm that you want to use your Apple ID for Family Sharing, tap Continue. If you don’t see this message, it means that you’re already using your Apple ID for Family Sharing.
Enter your family member’s name and date of birth, then tap Next. If you’re creating a new Apple ID for a child under 13*, enter a parent or guardian’s name and date of birth instead.*Apple imposes this restriction for child accounts in order to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Follow the instructions on the screen until you see the Thank You screen, then tap Done.*
Scroll to the bottom and tap Add to Family.
If you’re the family organizer, you can invite people to join your family group and share Apple Music, an Apple TV+ subscription, iCloud storage, and more.1
People who join your family can access all of the features and content that you subscribe to. They can also make purchases with your permission.
To invite someone to your family:
Open the Apple Music app and go to the For You tab. Scroll to the bottom and tap Add to Family. Or open the Settings app, tap [your name], tap Family Sharing, then tap Add Family Member. Enter your family member’s name or email address, then tap Next. If you’re using iOS 10.3 or earlier or macOS Sierra 10.12 or earlier, tap Enable Automatic Setup when asked about whether you’d like to create a new child account for them.2 Select a role for your family member—usually a child or an adult—then tap Next in the upper right corner of the screen. If asked, enter apple id password orFamily Sharing PIN on the next screen. Follow any other instructions that appear on screen until you finish adding your family member
If you don’t see Add to Family, tap Edit Profile. Under Subscriptions, tap Manage Family.

Tap Add Family Member.
To add someone to your family group, follow these steps:
-Open the Music app and tap For You.
-Tap your profile picture in the top right corner.
-Tap Add Family Member. If you don’t see Add Family Member, make sure that you’re using the latest version of iOS or macOS, and that you’ve signed in with your Apple ID.
-Enter your family member’s name or email address and tap Next. If you don’t see an option to add a child or teenager, make sure that you’re in the Music app, not iTunes.
-Follow the instructions on the screen.

Before you begin

Invite family members
After you set up Family Sharing, invite your family members to join. If they’re using iOS 10.3 or later, they can use their Apple ID to sign in to iCloud and make purchases with Ask to Buy. If they’re using an earlier version of iOS, sign in with their existing Apple ID.
