How to Add a Debit Card to Apple Pay

If you’re looking use apple pay but don’t have a credit card, you can still add a debit card to the service. Here’s how to do it.

Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.

If you don’t have the Wallet app, open the App Store and download it.
Tap the “+” sign in the upper-right corner.
If you’re asked to sign in with apple id do so now.
Under “Wallet & Apple Pay,” tap Add a Debit or Credit Card.
Use your iPhone’s camera to enter your card information or, if you’d rather, enter it manually.
Tap Next.

If you’re asked to verify your card, choose one of these verification methods:

-SMS: Tap next, then enter the verification code that’s automatically sent to your phone number by text message or phone call.

-Email: Tap next and look for an email from Apple with verification instructions.

After your bank verifies your card, tap Next. Make sure that you see “Apple Pay is ready to use” on the next screen before exiting the Wallet app; if not, authorization might have failed or been interrupted partway through (in which case you’ll have start over).

Tap the plus sign in the upper-right corner.

Open thepassbook app, then sign in with apple id If you don’t have apple id you can create one.

Enter your card’s security code, then tap Next. Depending on your bank, you might need to enter additional information. If so, follow the instructions on your screen.

To see if your bank or card issuer offers Apple Pay, visit Apple Pay participating banks and card issuers or contact them directly.

Under “Payment Cards,” tap Add Card.

If you’using apple pay in a store, you might need to sign a receipt or authorize your purchase with Touch ID or Face ID.

You can also add your student ID card to Wallet, so you can use it to pay for laundry, snacks, and dinners on campus. Just open the Wallet app on your iPhone and tap +. If you have an iPhone 8 or later, you can use Camera to add your card. Tap Continue, then follow the instructions on your screen.

Use your camera to capture your card information or enter it manually.

If you’re asked to add the card that you use with your Apple ID, cards on other devices, or cards that you’ve recently removed, choose them, then enter the card security codes.

After you add a card, you might be asked to verify your identity with text or a call from your bank.

When you’re asked to add the card that you use with your Apple ID, tap Continue.

On some devices, you might need to enter the security code that’s printed on your debit or credit card. If you have a credit card, you can add it to your Apple Pay wallet in a few different ways. After your bank or issuer verifies your card, tap Next.

If you’re asked to add your card again, make sure that you:

– Tap the plus sign in the upper-right corner.
– Enter your card information again. If you have an iPhone 6s or later, use 3D Touch to fill in your card information.
– Check with your bank or issuer to see if they support 3D Touch With Apple Pay.
– Use the camera to enter your card information.
If you’re asked to enter your card security code, it’s a three-digit number on the back of your card.

Then start using Apple Pay.
