How to Add Your COVID Pass to Apple Wallet

You can now add your COVID Pass to Apple Wallet. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.

If you don’t have the Wallet app, install it from the App Store.

Tap the +Sign in the upper-right corner.

Under “Passes,” tap Add a new pass. If you don’t see this option, tap Edit Passes, then turn on the switch next to “Passes” and tap Done.

Tap Get Started, then follow the instructions on your screen.

Tap the “+” sign in the upper-right corner.

Adding your COVID Pass to Apple Wallet will allow you to use your iPhone ipod touch to show you have been tested for the virus that causes COVID-19 or have received a vaccine. You can also use apple watch to show your COVID Pass.

To add your COVID Pass to Apple Wallet:

1. Tap the “+” sign in the upper-right corner.
2. Select “Add to Apple Wallet.”
3. Tap “Add.”
4. Follow the instructions on your screen.

Under “Passes,” tap “Add.”

If you’re in the United States, you can add your COVID-19 vaccine record to Apple Wallet. With your iPhone or iPod touch, you can add your COVID-19 vaccination card to Wallet and share it with others.

To add your COVID-19 vaccination card to Wallet:

Open Wallet and tap the “+” sign.
Tap “Add a Pass.”
Under “Passes,” tap “Add.”
If asked, sign in with apple id might need to enter a one-time passcode if you have two-factor authentication turned on for apple id
Enter the information from your vaccine record, then tap “Add.”

Tap “Scan Code.”

Open the Wallet app on your iPhone. If you don’t have Wallet, get it from the App Store.

Tap the + sign in the upper-right corner.

Tap Scan Code. If you’re asked to allow Wallet to access your iPhone’s camera, tap Continue. You might also see an option to Add without scanning. This uses your location to confirm that you have been vaccinated in the United States, Chile, Ecuador, or Iceland. Learn more about adding without scanning.

Position the pass in front of your iPhone so that the QR code appears in the frame. Your iPhone will automatically scan and read the QR code. If prompted, enter the security code that’s printed on the pass.

If you’re in China mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan, you can add your COVID Pass to Apple Wallet. Just position the camera over the QR code on your COVID Pass. If you’re asked to enter a passcode or sign in with Face ID or Touch ID, do it.

Tap “Add” when the Wallet app vibrates and/or makes a sound, indicating that it has read the QR code.

Assuming you have updated to iOS 14.5, and have the necessary COVID Pass downloaded on your iPhone, you can now add it to your Apple Wallet for quick and easy access. Here’s how:

1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
2. Hold your iPhone up to the QR code on your COVID Pass.
3. Tap “Add” when the Wallet app vibrates and/or makes a sound, indicating that it has read the QR code.
4. That’s it! Your COVID Pass will now be stored in your Apple Wallet for quick and easy access whenever you need it.

If you’re having trouble scanning the QR code, tap “Try Again.”

If you’re having trouble scanning the QR code, try these tips:
-Make sure the QR code is in focus. If it’s not, your iPhone can’t scan it.
-Move closer to the QR code. You might need to be about 3 to 6 inches away from it.
-If glare is preventing you from scanning the code, move so that the glare isn’t reflecting off the code. You can also try shading the code with your hand.

After the Wallet app reads the QR code, tap “Next.”

On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap the plus sign . If you’re asked to sign in with apple id do so.

Tap Continue and hold your iPhone near the contactless reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the display. You might need to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID.

Tap Next, then tap Add. If needed, enter the security code that’s on your card.

To use your card, hold your iPhone near the contactless reader and wait for Done and a checkmark to appear on the display. You might need to authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID.

Review the pass, then tap “Add.”

If you have an iPhone with iOS 14.5 or later, you can add your COVID-19 vaccination record or other government-issued ID card to Apple Wallet. This will allow you to quickly show it when you’re asked to prove your vaccination status or identity.

To add your card:
1. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap the plus sign .
2. Under “Passes,” tap Scan Documents. If you don’t see this option, tap Edit, then turn on Scan Documents.
3. Line up your document in the frame and hold still until the pass is created. If prompted, enter the pass information, then tap Add.
