In order to set up Apple Music on your Alexa device, you’ll need:
-An Apple Music subscription
-An Alexa device that supports Apple Music (see below for a list of compatible devices)
-The latest version of the Amazon Alexa app (download for iOS or Android)
With those three things in hand, you’re ready to get started. Here’s how to add Apple Music to Alexa.
1. Open the Amazon Alexa app on your mobile device and tap the menu icon in the top left corner.
2. Select “Music, Video, & Books” and then “Apple Music.”
3. You will be prompted to sign in with apple id and password. Once you’ve signed in, tap “Enable To Use.”

Here’s how to set up Apple Music on your Echo device:
1. Open the Alexa app on your mobile device.
2. Select Menu, then Music & Podcasts and choose Apple Music.
3. Log in with apple id and password.
4. Follow the instructions to link your Apple Music account to Alexa.
Now you can ask Alexa to play any song, album, or artist from Apple Music—just say “Alexa, play [name of song]” or “Alexa, play [name of artist].” You can also ask Alexa to play beats from specific genres, such as “Alexa, play rap music” or “Alexa, play country music.”
Use Apple Music on an Echo Device
