How to Accept Money on Apple Pay

Apple Pay is a great way to accept money from friends and family. Here’s a quick guide on how to get started.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Scroll down and tap Touch ID & Passcode. If you have an iPhone with Face ID, you’ll see Face ID & Passcode.
If prompted, enter your passcode.
Tap Add a Fingerprint and follow the instructions. You can add multiple fingerprints.

Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay”

In the Settings app, tap “Wallet & Apple Pay.” If you don’t see this option, make sure that your country or region supports Apple Pay.

Turn on “Apple Pay Cash.” If you don’t see this option, make sure that your country or region supports Apple Pay.

You might need to enter your birthday and Social Security number to verify your identity.

Tap “Add Credit or Debit Card”

1.Open the Wallet app on your iPhone, then tap .
2.Tap the plus sign .
3.Follow the steps to add a new card. If you’re asked to add the card that you use with apple id cards on other devices, or cards that you’ve recently removed, choose them, then enter the card security codes.
4.After you enter your card information, tap Next. Your bank or card issuer will verify your information and decide if you can use your card with Apple Pay. If they need more information from you, they’ll ask for it here. When they approve your card, tap Next. If you have an iPhone 6 or later, you might need to sign in with the passcode that you use to unlock your iPhone

Use your iPhone’s camera to capture your card information or enter it manually

When you set up Apple Pay, you can add your credit, debit, and prepaid cards to Wallet. You might need to verify your card information with your bank or card issuer the first time you use each card.

To add a new card on your iPhone, open the Wallet app and tap . Use your iPhone’s camera to capture your card information or enter it manually. If you’re asked to add the card that you use with apple id tap Continue.

Follow the instructions on your screen to verify your information start using Apple Pay.

Open the Wallet app. Tap the plus sign in the upper-right corner. Tap Continue. Position your card in the camera frame so that it fills up the entire screen. If you’re asked to sign your card, use a ballpoint pen or take a picture of your signature. Tap Next. The last four digits of your card number are displayed to confirm that you added the correct card.

Once your card is added, you use apple pay to make purchases

If you have an iPhone 6 or later,1 you use apple pay to pay in stores, within apps, and on the web. Simply hold your iPhone near the reader with your finger on Touch ID. You don’t even need to wake up your iPhone.
