-1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
-6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces
-1 tablespoon milk
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Step 1 – Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Step 2 – In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugars, flour, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Step 3 – Pour the mixture into the pie crust. Step 4 – Dot with butter. Step 5 – Cut remaining pastry into 1/2 – 3/4 inch wide strips. Make lattice top. Crimp and flute edges. Step 6 – Bake pie on lower shelf of oven for about 50 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly.

-1 to 2 days, stored in the fridge
-3 to 4 days, stored in the freezer
