How to Maximize Battery Life
It’s important to know how to get the most out of your Apple Watch battery because a dead watch can’t do much. There are a few key things you can do to maximize your battery life. One is to dim your screen or turn on Auto-Brightness. You can also turn off the heart rate sensor, disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when you’re not using them, and use Power Saving Mode.
Use Low Power Mode

One thing that will suck the life out of your battery quickly is opening and using apps. Anytime the Watch’s display turns on, it’s going to use power. Use apps sparingly to help preserve your charge.
Your best bet is to only open apps when you absolutely need them, and close them as soon as you’re done. To do this, just double press the Digital Crown, then scroll through the app carousel until you find the app you want to use. Tap on it to open it.
When you’re done, press and hold the side button, then swipe up on the app to close it.
After testing all of the different Watch models and configurations, we found that in general, you can expect the Watch to last about 18 hours before it needs to be recharged. This includes checking the time frequently, receiving notifications, using apps, and completing a 30-minute workout. If you use your Watch less frequently, you can stretch its battery life to two or three days.
