Apple Airtags are small, AirPod-like devices that can be attached to bags, wallets, keychains, or anything else you want to keep track of. Once attached, they use Apple’find My network to help you locate your lost belongings. But how long do Apple Airtags last?

Here’s everything you need to know about the battery life of Apple Airtags, including how long they last and how to extend their lifespan.

Apple Airtags Overview

Apple Airtags are a new product from Apple that allows users to track their belongings. The tags attach to belongings like keys, wallets, and bags, and use Apple’s Find My network to keep track of their location. Airtags are powered by a built-in battery, and Apple promises that they will last for “months” on a single charge. In this article, we’ll take a look at how long Airtags can realistically be expected to last on a single charge, and how to extend their battery life.

Assuming that you use your Airtags regularly (i.e. they are not sitting in a drawer somewhere), we expect them to last for about two weeks on a single charge. This is based on our own testing as well as reports from other users. If you only use your Airtags occasionally (for example, if you only use them to track your keys when you go on vacation), they will likely last for months on a single charge.

To extend the battery life of your Airtags, there are several things you can do:

-Make sure that the “Logging” setting is turned off in the Find My app. This setting determines how often the Airtag’s location is updated and stored in the app; turning it off will lengthen the battery life of the tag.
-If possible, keep the Airtag close to your iPhone when it is not in use. The Airtag will communicate with your iPhone regularly when it is nearby, which helps conserve battery power.
-Remove the Airtag from its case when it is not in use. The case has an additional battery inside of it which is used to recharge the tag; leaving the tag in its case when it is not needed will shorten its battery life.

How Long Do Apple Airtags Last?

Apple Airtags are state-of-the-art location trackers that can be placed on pretty much any object and then tracked via the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, ipod touch But how long do these little devices actually last?

According to Apple’s website, each individual Airtag has a battery life of “up to one year.” However, that statement comes with a few caveats. First and foremost, actual battery life will vary depending on how often the Airtag is used and how it is used. For example, if you are constantly moving your Airtag between different objects (i.e., putting it on your keychain, then your purse, then your child’s backpack), it will likely need to be replaced more frequently than if it remained stationary in one place (i.e., attached to a dog collar).

In addition, apple notes that temperature and altitude can also affect battery life. So, if you live in a particularly cold or hot climate, or if you frequently travel to high altitudes, your Airtags may not last as long as advertised.

Ultimately, then, while Apple Airtags are incredibly useful devices, you should expect to need to replace them every year or so – especially if you use them frequently.

Factors That Affect Apple Airtag Lifespan

How long do Apple Airtags last? Unfortunately, there is no one answer to this question as the lifespan of an AirTag will vary depending on a number of factors, including how often it is used, what type of battery it has, and how it is stored. However, in general, you can expect an AirTag to last for several years with proper care. Here are some things that will affect how long your AirTag lasts:

-How often it is used: If you use your AirTag frequently, it will naturally have a shorter lifespan than if you only use it occasionally. This is because the more you use an AirTag, the more wear and tear it will experience.

-What type of battery it has: There are two types of batteries that can be used in an AirTag: CR2032 and AAA. The CR2032 battery is smaller and has a shorter lifespan than the AAA battery. However, it is also cheaper and easier to replace.

-How it is stored: It is important to store your AirTag in a cool, dry place when not in use. This will help to prolong its lifespan. Additionally, if you are not using your AirTag for an extended period of time (more than a few months), it is important to remove the battery to prevent damage from occurring.

Tips to Prolong the Lifespan of Your Apple Airtag

Here are some tips to keep your Airtag lasting as long as possible:
-Avoid extreme temperatures. Store and use your Airtag between 32° and 95° F (0° and 35° C).
-Keep Airtag away from liquids.
-Do not allow metal objects, such as keys, to come into contact with the surface of the NFC antenna tag.
-If the tag is damaged, stop using it.

While we don’t know the official lifespan of an Airtag, we do know that they are built to last. With proper care, your Airtag should last you for many years to come.
