How to Unpair an Apple Watch

If you’re no longer using apple watch you may want to unpair it from your iPhone. This will remove all of your data and settings from the watch, and you’ll be able to pair it with a new iPhone if you want. Here’s how to unpair apple watch

Open watch app on your iPhone.

Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen.
Tap the info button next to your watch, then tap Unpair Apple Watch.
For GPS + Cellular models, you must also disable Activate on iPhone (Settings > Cellular).
If you backed up your Apple Watch, you can restore it after you pair with a new iPhone.

Tap the My Watch tab.

On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.

Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen.

Tap the info button next to the watch that you want to unpair, then tap Unpair Apple Watch.

For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan. If you decide to keep it, your plan will stay active until its expiration date.

Tap Unpair [watch] to confirm.

Scroll down and tap the info button next to the watch you want to unpair.

If you have an Apple Watch and iPhone, unpairing them will put your Apple Watch into a special mode where you can still use some of its features, but most of them will be disabled until you pair it with another iPhone. This is useful if you want to give your Apple Watch to someone else, or if you’re selling it.

Here’s how to unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone:

1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.

2. Tap the My Watch tab, then scroll down and tap the info button next to the watch you want to unpair.

3. Tap Unpair Apple Watch, then confirm by tapping again when prompted.

Tap Unpair Apple Watch.

If you’re no longer using your Apple Watch, you can unpair it from your iPhone. When you unpair, your content stays on your watch but is no longer backed up to iCloud. You can back up manually before you unpair.

Before you unpair, unsubscribe from any paid services and cancel any pending payments. If you don’t, you might be charged.

To unpair:
On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen.
Tap the info button , then tap Unpair Apple Watch.
For cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan. If you keep it, your phone number will remain associated with your watch. You can reactivate it later.
Enter apple id password or passcode if asked, then tap Unpair to confirm.

For GPS + Cellular models, tap to turn off Activate.

If you have an Apple Watch GPS + Cellular model, you can remove your cellular plan. This disables the cellular service on your watch, and you can’t use it to make phone calls, send receive text messages or use other cellular features.

If you decide that you want to use your watch with cellular again, you can add a new plan.

Enter apple id password then tap Turn Off.

If you unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone, your Apple Watch will no longer receive notifications, messages, or phone calls. It also won’t monitoring your fitness or track your location. You can unpair your devices using the Watch app on your iPhone.

Before you unpair, you need to back up your Apple Watch so you can restore it later. Once you unpair, you can’t use some features and apps that require an Internet connection or cellular data, such as iCloud and Apple Books.

To unpair:
Open the Watch app on your iPhone and tap the My Watch tab.
Tap All Watches, then tap the info button next to the watch that you want to unpair.
Tap Unpair Apple Watch. If you have an LTE model, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan.
Enter apple id password then tap Turn Off.

Tap to confirm.

Unpairing your Apple Watch is a pretty simple process, but there are a couple of things you should do beforehand to make sure everything goes smoothly. First, back up your Apple Watch. This will ensure that all of your data, including any saved Health data, is backed up in case something goes wrong during the process. You can do this by opening the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and going to the My Watch tab. From there, tap on “All Watches” at the top of the screen and select your Apple Watch. Tap on “Backupwatch,” then “Back Up Now.”

Once you’ve backed up your watch, open the Watch app on your iPhone again and go to the My Watch tab. Tap on “All Watches” at the top of the screen and select your Apple Watch. Tap on “i” next to your watch’s name, then scroll down and tap “Unpair Apple Watch.” You’ll be asked to confirm that you want to unpair your watch; tap “Unpair” again.

Your Apple Watch will now be unpaired from your iPhone.
