How to Turn Off Your Apple Watch

If you’re not a fan of wearing apple watch all the time, you can easily turn it off. Here’s a quick guide on how to do it.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Scroll down and tap General. Scroll down and tap Shut Down. If you have apple watch Series 3 or later, you can also manage your settings so that your watch automatically turns off when you’re not wearing it.

Tap the Bluetooth menu item.

On your iPhone, open the watch app

Tap the watch tab then go to General > About.

Tap the info button next to the watch that you want to unpair, tap unpair apple watch

For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep or remove your cellular plan. If you keep your plan, your watch will stay paired with your cellular network.

Tap Unpair [device].

If you have apple watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular), you can keep your cellular service by transferring it to a new cellular-capable Apple Watch.

Tap the info “i” button next to your Apple Watch.

Assuming you want to know how to turn off your actual watch and not just the display, there are a couple different ways to do it.

The first, and probably most obvious method is to just press and hold down on the side button until you see the “Power Off” slider appear. Once you see that, simply drag the slider to the right and wait for your Apple Watch to power down.

Another way to do it, which may be a bit quicker if your watch is already low on battery, is to tap on the info “i” button next to your Apple Watch in the Watch app. From there, scroll down and tap on “Power Reserve.” Once you do that, your watch will enter Power Reserve mode and shut off.

Tap the Forget This Device button.

If you’re ready to sell or give away your Apple Watch, you’ll need to unpair it from your iPhone. This will disable all the features of your watch, including phone calls, messages, and Apple Pay. If you’re planning on keeping your Apple Watch but want start fresh, you can also unpair and reset it. Here’s how to unpair or reset your Apple Watch:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap Bluetooth.
3. Tap the “i” next to your Apple Watch.
4. Tap Forget This Device.
5. Enter your passcode when prompted, then tap Forget Device.

Tap the Forget button to confirm.

When you want to unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone, or you need to restore your Apple Watch, you’ll need to turn it off first. Here’s how:

1. Press and hold the side button until the Power Off slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to the right to power off your Apple Watch.
3. Once your Apple Watch is turned off, press and hold the side button again until you see the Apple logo.
4. When your Apple Watch turns back on, tap the Forget button to confirm that you want to unpair your devices.
