How to Reset Your Apple Watch

If you need to reset apple watch because it’s acting up or you want to sell it, here’s how to do it.

Open the Settings app on your iPhone

1.Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2.Tap General > Reset.
3.Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
4.Enter your passcode and confirm by tapping Erase All.
5.Tap Erase again to confirm that you want to erase your watch and its content.

Tap General

In watch app on your iPhone, tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Reset.

Depending on what you want to reset, tap the following:

-All Settings: Erases all your personal information and settings, including credit and debit cards for Apple Pay, and resets your watch to its factory settings. After you erase all content and settings, you need to pair your watch with your iPhone again.
-Erase All Content and Settings: Erases everything from your watch and restores it to its factory settings. After you erase all content and settings, you need to pair your watch with your iPhone again.

Tap Reset

If you want to sell or give away apple watch you should unpair it from your iPhone and erase all of your content and settings. If you just want start fresh, you can also choose to reset apple watch without unpairing it from your iPhone. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.

Tap General > Reset, then tap Erase All Content and Settings. If you’ve turned on Find My iPhone, you might need to enter apple id password. You’ll be prompted to back up your watch data before proceeding; if you have an iCloud backup, this process will happen automatically once the reset is complete.

Choose whether or not to unpair your watch. Unpairing will delete all content from your watch and return it to its factory settings, but you can always re-pair it with your iPhone later.

If you don’t want to unpair, tap Keep Your Plan and enter a phone number where someone can reach you in case your watch is lost; this number won’t be stored on your watch. When asked for a passcode, tap Continue Without A Passcode.

Tap Erase All, then enter apple id password to disable Activation Lock and confirm that you want to erase the content and settings from your device

Tap Erase All Content and Settings

If you want to reset your Apple Watch to its original factory settings, you’ll need to erase all of its content and settings first. This is necessary if you’re selling or giving away your Apple Watch, or if you want to start fresh with a new device.

Don’t worry, erasing all content and settings on your Apple Watch is a pretty easy process that can be completed in just a few steps. Here’s what you need to do:

1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
2. Tap General.
3. Tap Reset.
4. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.
5. Enter your passcode when prompted, then tap Erase Everything to confirm.

Keep in mind that once you erase all content and settings from your Apple Watch, there’s no going back — so make sure you’ve backed up any important data first!

Enter your Apple ID password

If you have an Apple Watch with cellular, you need to enter your Apple ID password to remove the cellular plan. If you don’t have an Apple Watch with cellular, you don’t need to do anything.

1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap Cellular.
3. Tap Reset Cellular Settings.
4. If you have an Apple Watch with cellular, enter your password, then tap Reset Settings.

Tap Erase All

To reset your Apple Watch, follow these steps:

1. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Reset.
3. Tap Erase All Content and Settings, then enter your passcode if prompted.
4. Tap Erase All to confirm.
