Updating apple watch is a simple process that can be completed in a few minutes. Follow these steps to update apple watch to the latest version of watchOS.

Open watch app on your iPhone.
Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap My Watch, tap general > Software Update.
Tap Download and Install, then follow the onscreen instructions.
Tap the watch tab
On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
Tap the watch tab then tap General > Software Update.
If an update is available, tap Download and Install.
You might need to enter your passcode.
Update your apps
Tap General > Software Update.
If an update is available, you’ll see an option to install it.
To install the update, make sure your Watch is connected to its charger and has at least 50% battery power. Then tap Install. If you need more space for the update, try these tips to free space on your Watch.
It might take a while for the update to install. You can check the progress by tapping the icon in the upper-left corner of the Watch face.
Download and install the update.
There are two ways to update apple watch wirelessly through your iPhone or by using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
To update wirelessly, make sure that your Apple Watch and iPhone are in range of each other and that both devices have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on. Then open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch > General > Software Update, and download the software. Once the software has downloaded, tap Install.
If you can’t update wirelessly, you can use the Apple Watch app on your iPhone to update. First, connect your watch to a power source and keep it charged. Then make sure that your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi, go to the Apple Watch app, tap My Watch > General > Software Update, and download the software. Once the software has downloaded, tap Install.
