How to Reset Your Apple Password

If you can’t remember apple id password, follow these steps to reset it.

Go to iforgot.apple.com.

Enter apple id then select Continue.

If you use two-factor authentication, you’ll need a trusted device or phone number to reset your password and sign in to your account. If you don’t use two-factor authentication, you’ll need to answer your security questions to reset your password.*

Select “I need to reset my password” and continue.

Select “Get started” under the section labeled “Reset by answering your security questions.”

Answer your security questions and continue. If you don’t remember your answers, select “Try another way to reset your password.” You can reset your password using apple id account page or Get support from Apple.

Enter your Apple ID.

If your Apple ID is an email address, you can enter it here. If you don’t know your Apple ID, you can find it by entering your full name and email address.

If you have an Apple device, such as an iPhone, iPad, ipod touch you can use it to find your Apple ID. Just go to Settings > [your name]. If you have a Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15 or later, open the Finder. On the left side of the Finder window, click iCloud. If you’re using macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier, or on a Windows PC, open iCloud for Windows.

Choose the option to reset your password via email or security questions, then follow the instructions on the screen.

There are two ways that you can reset your Apple password: via email or via security questions. To reset your password via email, simply enter your Apple ID and we will send you an email with instructions on how to reset your password. To reset your password via security questions, you will need to answer a few questions correctly in order to verify your identity. Once you have verified your identity, you will be able to choose a new password.

If you can’t reset your password using iforgot.apple.com, you can use these steps to reset it using your Recovery Key and another device that’s connected to the Internet.

Before you begin
Make sure that you have your Recovery Key and a device connected to the Internet. You’ll need your Recovery Key to reset your password. If you don’t have your Recovery Key, you can try to reset it using another device that’s connected with the same Apple ID that you’re using on the device with the reassociated account.

Reset your password
1. On the device with the reassociated account, go to Settings > iCloud > tap your Apple ID account name > Password & Security > Change Password.
2. Enter a new password, then enter it again to verify.
3. Tap Change or Change Password.
4. When prompted for your recovery key, select “Use different recovery key.”
5. Follow the instructions onscreen until you get to Choose how you want to reset your password, then tap “Mail.”

Go to Apple ID account page and click “Forgot Apple ID or password.”

If you forgot your Apple ID, you can look it up.

If you’re asked to enter apple id password click “Forgot Apple ID or password” and follow the instructions. You might be asked to answer security questions or use Two-Factor Authentication.

After you enter your Apple ID, a message says that the password for your Apple ID is being reset and that the new password will be sent to your rescue email address.

If you’re asked to set up two-factor authentication or two-step verification, it means additional security measures are required to protect your account.

Select “Use your recovery key” and enter your Recovery Key.

If you can’t remember your password, you can reset it using your Recovery Key. Follow these steps to reset your password:

1. Go to iforgot.apple.com.
2. Enter your Apple ID, then select “Continue.”
3. Select “Use your recovery key” and enter your Recovery Key.
4. Select “Reset Password.”
5. Choose a new password and enter it twice to confirm, then select “Reset Password.”
6. You’ll see a message that says your password has been reset and that you should use your new password to sign in to iCloud, the iTunes Store, or App Store.*

If you don’t have a Recovery Key, you can choose to answer your security questions.

If you, for some reason, can’t use either your Recovery Key apple id password to reset your password, you can choose to answer your security questions. This process is more time-consuming than using your Recovery Key, but it will eventually get you back into your Apple ID account.

Here’s how to reset apple id password using your security questions:

1. Go to appleid.apple.com and click “Forgot Apple ID or password.”
2. Enter your Apple ID and click “Continue.”
3. Select “Answer security questions” and click “Continue.”
4. Answer each of the security questions correctly and click “Continue.”
5. Create a new password for your Apple ID and click “Reset Password.”

If you can’t remember your answers to your security questions, you can choose to get an email from Apple.

Go to iforgot.apple.com.

Enter your Apple ID, then select Continue.

Choose How to reset your password, then select Continue.

Depending on when you set up your Apple ID, you might be asked different questions. If you’re asked to enter information about yourself, make sure that it matches the information you used when you set up your account.

If you don’t see an option to continue after entering your information, it means we couldn’t find a matching account. Check the spelling of your Apple ID, then try again.
