An Apple ID is required to use Apple services such as iCloud, the App Store, and iTunes. You can create an Apple ID on any Apple device or by visiting Apple’s website.

What is an Apple ID?

An Apple ID is a username that is used to log in to all of Apple’s products and services. In order to use an Apple product, you will need an Apple ID. With an Apple ID, you can access the App Store, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and more.

How to create an Apple ID

You can set up an Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad,ipod touch or Mac. When you create an Apple ID, you’re asked to enter information such as your name, address, email address, and phone number. You can also create an Apple ID without a credit card.

Using an existing email address

An Apple ID is the email address you use to sign in to all Apple services such as the App Store, iTunes Store, iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime and more. If you have an existing email address that you would like to use as your Apple ID, you can follow these steps to create it.

Before you begin
You must have an active email account to create an Apple ID. If you don’t have an email address, you can create one for free with most major email providers such as Gmail or Yahoo.

Creating an Apple ID using an existing email address
1. Open the Apple ID website in your web browser and click “Create Your Apple ID.”
2. Enter your name and date of birth when prompted and click “Continue.”
3. Enter your existing email address in the “Email Address” field and click “Continue.”
4. Type a password for new apple id in the “Password” and “Verify Password” fields. For security purposes, be sure to use a password that is at least eight characters long and contains a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters. Then click “Create Apple ID.”
5. Check your inbox for the verification email from Apple then click on the link in that email to verify your new Apple ID.

Without an existing email address

If you don’t have an Apple ID, you can create one without an email address.

With an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
1. Tap Settings > [your name] > tap “Sign In” or “Sign Up”.
2. If you’re asked to sign in with an existing Apple ID, tap Use Another Account.
3. Tap “Create New Apple ID”.
4. When you’re asked for your birthday, choose other. Enter your birthdate, then tap Next.
5. Select your country or region, then tap Next. If you want to change your country or region later, you can do it in the App Store or iTunes Store: Open either store > scroll to the bottom and tap your current country or region > tap View Account > Country/Region > Change Country or Region. When asked for payment information, select None as the payment type> enter your billing address> and tap Next. By providing a nil value for the payment method, you agree to the terms of service and complete the sign-up process without providing a payment method> agree to the terms of service> and enter a rescue email address>and select Next>. You’ve successfully created a new Apple ID!

How to manage your Apple ID

Your Apple ID is the account you use to access Apple services like the App Store, iTunes Store, iCloud, iMessage, the Apple Online Store, FaceTime, and more. If you’ve used other Apple services such as iCloud, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple ID. You can also use an existing email address to create an Apple ID.

Changing your password

If you know your current password, you can change it from apple id account page

2. In the Security section, click Change Password.
3. Enter your current password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password.
4. Click Change Password.
If you don’t know your current password, you can reset it and create a new one:

Updating your contact information

If you need to update your contact information, such as your email address, phone number, or shipping address, you can do so in your account settings.

To update your contact information:

-Sign in to your Apple ID account page.
-In the Security section, click Edit.
-Click the appropriate button next to each type of contact information that you want to update, then follow the onscreen instructions.

If you want to remove a piece of contact information, select None in the drop-down menu next to that type of information.

Adding security questions

To add or change security questions on your Apple ID, sign in to your Apple ID account page.

– Click Edit in the Security section.
– Click Change Questions.
– Enter your password, then click Continue.
– If you see a message that says you must verify your identity, choose one of the authentication methods and follow the instructions.
– To add questions, select Add a Question, then complete the fields. To change a question, click next to the question and enter a new question and answer. When you’re finished making changes, click Save.

How to delete your Apple ID

You can delete your Apple ID from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC. If you delete your Apple ID, you’ll lose all the content that’s associated with it.

Deleting your Apple ID is permanent and cannot be undone, so be 100% sure that’s what you want to do before proceeding. You won’t be able to use your Apple ID to:

-Shop the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store
-Access iCloud
-iMessage or FaceTime
-Make in-app purchases

All other aspects of your Apple ID will be permanently deleted. This includes data stored in iCloud Drive and other services.
