How Do I Know If My Apple Pencil Is Charging?

If you’re wondering how to tell if apple pencil is charging, there are a few things you can check. First, make sure the Pencil is turned on by tapping the button on the side. If led light on the tip of the Pencil is white, then it’s fully charged. If the light is orange, then it’s partially charged. Finally, you can check the battery level in settings app on your iPad.

Check the LED Light

When you connect your Apple Pencil to your iPad, you’ll see a green light next to the charging connector.

This means that your Apple Pencil is charging.

When your Apple Pencil has finished charging, the green light turns off.

Check the Battery Percentage

If you want to know how much charge is left in your Apple Pencil, just check the widget on your iPad. The percentage will be listed under the Battery section.

To see the widget, swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPad screen. If you don’t see the battery percentage, tap Edit in the bottom-right corner, then tap + next to Battery and add it to your Today view.

Use a Third-Party App

Your Apple Pencil will charge the quickest when you use the included Apple Pencil Charging Adapter and plug it into a USB power adapter.

If you don’t have the charging adapter or USB power adapter, you can use a compatible Bluetooth keyboard as an interim solution. Just make sure that your keyboard is turned on and within range of your Pencil.

If you want to see the battery level of your Apple Pencil without connecting it to your iPad, you can use a third-party app like Battery Life.
