How to Tell if You Have AppleCare

If you’re not sure if you have AppleCare or not, there are a few ways to check. First, you can check if you have an AppleCare plan by looking in your Settings app. Just open the Settings app, tap “General,” and tap “About.” If you see “AppleCare” next to serial number then you have AppleCare. You can also check online by visiting Apple’s website, or by calling AppleCare and asking them.

Check your AppleCare agreement

If you’re not sure if you have AppleCare, check your original sales receipt. Or, on a Mac, open the System Preferences window, click the Apple icon at the top left, then select About This Mac. The summary page lists your serial number and whether or not you have AppleCare+ coverage. You can also enter your serial number on Apple’s Check Your Service and Support Coverage website.

If you purchased your iPhone within the last year, you should be able to find your AppleCare+ receipt in your email. If you can’t find it, there are a few other places you can check.

Open the Settings app.tap general Tap About. Look for the “AppleCare+ Coverage” section. If you see “Active” next to “Coverage,” you have AppleCare+. If it says “No Coverage,” you don’t have AppleCare+.

If you don’t see the AppleCare+ section,tap the number of days remaining under “Warranty.” If that number is more than 0, you have AppleCare+.

Assuming you already bought your iPhone, and you’re wanting to add AppleCare+ after the fact, you have 60 days from your iPhone purchase to add AppleCare+. You might be saying to yourself “but I only realized X number of days after I bought my iPhone that I wanted AppleCare+!” Well, don’t worry. As long as it’s within the 60 day window, you can still add AppleCare+.
