How to Find Your Apple ID

Losing apple id can be a major pain. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to find your Apple ID.

Go to iforgot.apple.com

If you forgot your Apple ID, you can look it up. Just enter your first and last name, along with your email address that’s associated with your Apple ID, then click Continue.

Apple will send an email to that address with your Apple ID.

Enter your Apple ID

You can find your Apple ID in the Settings app on your iPhone, iPad, ipod touch in iTunes on a Mac or PC, or on the Apple ID website.

On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Open the Settings app. Tap your name. Tap iCloud. If you’re using iOS 10.2 or earlier, tap Settings > iCloud. If you have not signed in to iCloud, tap Sign In and enter your Apple ID and password. Your Apple ID is the email address that you use to sign in to all Apple services.

In iTunes on a Mac or PC
Open iTunes and sign in with your Apple ID. If you don’t see your Apple ID in the upper-left corner of the iTunes window, choose Account > View My Account and enter your password when prompted. On the Account Information page that appears next to “Apple ID,” you’ll see the email address that you use as your Apple ID.

Choose the option to reset your password

If you’re asked to enter your Apple ID but don’t know where to find it, use these steps to look for your Apple ID.

You can find your Apple ID on Apple devices like the iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac; in iOS or macOS; or on the web at appleid.apple.com. You might not see this option if you’ve already reset your password or if two-factor authentication is turned off for your account.

On an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch with iOS 10.3 or later:
-Tap Settings > [your name].
-Tap Password & Security > Get Verification Code.
-If asked for a recovery key, use these instructions to recover your account.

In iOS 11 and later:
-Tap Settings > [your name] > Password & Security.
-Tap Edit to the right of Change Password. You might be asked to enter apple id password first.

On a Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15 or later:
-Open System Preferences and click Users & Groups, then click the lock icon to unlock it and make changes.*
-Click Security & Privacy > Change Password (under Computer Management). You might be asked for an administrator password first.*

* If you’re using iCloud Keychain and have turned on two-factor authentication for icloud account on an iOS device that’s using iOS 11 or later or a Mac that’s using macOS High Sierra or later, you won’t see a Change Password option in the security pane of System Preferences.*

On a Mac with macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier:
-Open System Preferences and click iCloud, then click Account Details.*
-Click Security, then click Change Password (under Computer Management). You might be asked for an administrator password first.*

* If you’re using iCloud Keychain and have turned on two-factor authentication for your iCloud account on an iOS device that’s using iOS 11 or later or a Mac that’s using macOS High Sierra or later, you won’t see These steps are also appropriate if you forgot your Restrictions passcode.*

Answer your security questions

You can reset your password by answering your security questions.

Here’s how:

Go to AppleID.apple.com and enter your Apple ID.
Click “Forgot password.”
Enter yourTriggerWhen the Enter key is pressed, the expansion text below appears. first name, last name, and email address.
Click “Continue.”
Answer your questions and click “Continue.”
Follow the instructions to reset your password.

Reset your password

If you forgot apple id password you can reset it and regain access to your account.

There are a few different ways to reset your password, depending on what device you’re using and whether or not you have access to your trusted devices or Recovery Key.

If you know apple id password you can change it at any time in your Apple ID account settings.

Sign in with your new password

If you forgot apple id password and can’t log in, reset your password to regain access to your account. Once you reset your password and sign in, you can change it to something you’ll remember.

If you know your Apple ID but want to change it, you can do so from your Apple ID account page.

Open the Settings app. Tap Sign in to your [device]. Enter the Apple ID and password that you use with the App Store and tap OK. If asked, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number and complete sign in.*

If you have an iPhone with Touch ID or Face ID turned on, enter your passcode instead of your Apple ID password.
