How to Disconnect Your Apple Watch

If you’re no longer using apple watch you may want to disconnect it from your iPhone. Here’s how!

Open watch app on your iPhone.

Open the Watch app on your iPhone.

Tap the My Watch tab.

Tap General > Reset.

Tap Erase all content and settings.

apple watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) or Apple Watch Series 4 (GPS + Cellular), you need to turn off your cellular service before you reset your watch. To do this, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap Cellular, then turn off Cellular Data.

If you can’t turn off Cellular Data, try removing your cellular plan from your account:

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.
Tap Cellular.
Tap View Account, then tap Remove This Plan.

If you’re asked for a password or passcode, enter it. Or if you see a message that says “Removing this plan will leave no cellular service,” tap Continue > Remove Plan > Confirm Removal > Done.

Tap the My Watch tab.

Swipe up to scroll through the list of apps, then tap an app. To delete an app, tap , then Delete App. To rearrange the apps on your watch face, touch and hold next to an app, then drag it to a new location. To turn off an app’s notifications, tap next to the app, then turn off Allow Notifications.

Scroll down and tap General.

On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.
From the My Watch tab, tap General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
Tap to confirm.

If you turned off Activate on iPhone, enter apple id password.
Otherwise, wait for your Apple Watch to finish erasing. When it turns off, you can remove it from your wrist.

Tap Reset.

On your iPhone, open the Watch app. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Reset. Tap Erase All Content and Settings, then enter apple id password If you don’t have an Apple ID password, tap Erase All Content and Settings.

If you need factory reset your Apple Watch, here’s how:

1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap General > Reset.
3. Tap Erase All Content and Settings, then enter your passcode.
4. Tap Erase everything in the top right corner of the screen.

For extra security, enter your Apple ID password.

If you turned on two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, you need to enter a verification code along with your password.

If you have an iPhone 6 or later, the one-time code is displayed automatically on your device. Type it in, then tap Continue.
If you don’t have an iPhone 6 or later, tap “Get a verification code” and follow the instructions.

Tap Erase All.

If you want to give your Apple Watch to someone, or you have a new one coming, you need to unpair it from your iPhone first. Here’s how!

To unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone:

1. On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
2. Tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen.
3. Tap the info button next to your watch’s name.
4. Tap Unpair Apple Watch.
5. For GPS + Cellular models, tap to keep or remove your cellular plan. If you want to keep your plan, you can re-pair after you’ve erased your watch.
6. Tap Erase All to confirm start the process of unpairing and erasing your watch.
7. Enter your Apple ID password, then tap Erase All again to confirm
