- Find the charging port on the Apple Pencil. It’s on the side of the Pencil, near the tip.
- Plug the Apple Pencil into the iPad’s Lightning connector.

Find the charging port on the Apple Pencil. It’s on the side of the Pencil, near the tip.
To charge your Apple Pencil, simply plug it into the charging port on the side of the iPad Pro. You’ll see a white light on the Pencil when it’s charging. When it’s fully charged, the light turns green.
Plug the Apple Pencil into the iPad’s Lightning connector.
To charge your Apple Pencil, simply plug it into the iPad’s Lightning connector. The Pencil will begin charging automatically and will be fully charged in about an hour.

When the Apple Pencil is connected to power, a green LED light on the side of the Pencil will turn on to indicate that it’s charging. The LED light turns off when the Pencil is fully charged.
It can take up to an hour and a half to charge your Apple Pencil from 0% to 100%.
When the Apple Pencil is done charging, the green LED light will turn off.
Once your Apple Pencil is connected to your iPad, the green LED light on the side of the Pencil will turn on to indicate that it’s charging. When the Pencil is done charging, the light will turn off.
